You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Not really a music book, but Rosie does talk about working with Bobby Brown, Heavy D & The Boyz, choreographing music videos, Soul Train & Don Cornelius, and the Fly Girls from In Living Color. The majority of the book is about her childhood.

This is a 2013 bio and photo book that was kinda interesting, especially the pre-John Lennon years. Yoko participated in a Shirley Temple look-a-like contest as a little girl in Japan.

For those who are into gospel music, this is a good new book. It mentions several of the acts back when the Staples started like the Soul Stirrers & Rev. C.L. Franklin and features comments by many who worked with the family and the members themselves.
