I hate when music snobs, hipsters, or fuck mother fuck bucks. Tell you ''you just don't get it'' if you don't like a certain album.

Even if you listen to it multiple time. Digest the lyrics, instrumentals, themes, metaphors etc. They will just say you don't get it and act like the album is on a higher plain of existence.

It happens more with ''alternative'' type musicians if you wanna call them that. People aren't going to say ''yeah man you just don't Thriller or Like A Virgin or Baby One More Time' cause those albums are easier to understand than see spot run.

I just wish some people could accept this. Sometimes people truly just don't like an album. It doesn't mean they don't get it or aren't thinking deeply about it. If someone doesn't like Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Neutral Milk Hotel, Slut fuckers RX, Kanye West, or The Beatles. It doesn't always mean they don't get it or that the album is ''too deep for the masses'' or whatever shit hipsters and fuck boys pull out their stretch marked fat asses to make themselves seem smarter.

I hate music snobs too , am sick of people shooting me down for not getting the beatles or madonna and others , they just are too overrated to my ears, the beatles songs sound all the same to me, i don't give two fucks how popular they are or were and madonna cannot sing. I won't be told how good is sgt pepper or like a virgin , i have heard them enough to have my own opinion and not some music snob telling me i must have hearing problems and i don't know what am talking about (thrown down my throat)

Look there are musical things I deeply love, that impact my life for the better and elevate my spirit, that 99% of people would say is shit. They would say, "that's not even music. That singer has no vocal technique. The words are not poetic and you can hardly hear what they're saying. It has no beat and you can't dance to it. It makes me nervous and agitated to hear those sounds. Turn that shit off."

So here's me, against the world, loving this shit.

No. They just don't get it.

And that's fine. This stuff I'm talking about is emphatically "not for everyone". But, it is for me.

It is categorically NOT shit. I can prove this on an Etch a sketch.

Getting it doesn't make me a better person. I don't look down on those people that don't get it, I don't feel the need to explain it to them or get into a pissing match over "Husker Du is better than Guns N Roses," which happens to be 100% true. But I know that I am not going to win that argument with anyone who is wearing a GNR shirt.

So I'm willing to let it go. Are they willing to do that for me? Hells no. Never have I heard someone say "it sounds awful to me, but if you see something in it, I guess it must be good."

Everyone believes their taste in music is correct, things they like are "good" and things they do not like are "not good." So they get up in arms over is this or that underrated or overrated? It's all about correcting OTHER PEOPLES IDEAS about music. Why even go there?

Oh and which Slutfuckers RX album should I start with?

Actually Guns it seems to be YOU that is insisting that, if you listen to to and don't get it, that there is nothing to get. Who's being a music snob?
