my very first Prince 45 (soft and wet) was with this 45... remember this?
I don't understand what u mean by "with this 45." U mean they came 2gether or u bought 'em at the same time 2gether? Reminds me of "Love Me" from K.C. and the Sunshine Band's "The Painter," 1981 Epic/CBS Records. Similar sound w/o the electric organ underpinnings.

Yes, what I mean is when prince's first single came out "Soft & Wet",
this single was out at the same time and yes I bought both of them
at the same time. So when I made my mixed cassette recording of all
the new 45's that had came out, this song "Cream City"
immediately followed 'soft and wet' on my mixed tape
so whenever I hear those last words on Soft and Wet "oh oh oh"
I can hear the begginning of this song start in my mind

does that make sense?
Haha falsetto for days, that mixtape! I know what you mean. I remember some purchases like that.
