Any Fans of Vampire Weekend Here?

€I think they're a great band, great music, yet accessible and catchy. I like the way Ezra (the lead singer) deals with his themes lyrically, they remind me so much of The Strokes.

Any fans? What's your favorite VW album/song, then?

I really like them. I first heard them about two years ago, I was at a high school theatre competition and my roomate was playing "Oxford Comma" and I was like "whoa who's that?!" and I've liked them ever since. I haven't really listened to The Strokes.. Would you recommend/ if so where would you start?

I would really recommend The Strokes' "Is This It" album, it's a slick rock effort for sure (with garage rock textures here & there). The album kinda soundtracked New York at some point early in the past decade, the themes they wrote about were pretty comon in NYorkers' everyday life, it was highly praised by critics and even if I sometimes skip many songs, I still find it very coherent and kinda atmospheric. Try "Hard to Explain"!

Julian Casablancas is fairly one of the best singers/musicians I've ever seen live, he's very underrated and he's pretty much the mastermind behind all of The Strokes' output, his solo work is also very imaginative and... cool.
