Okay that makes sense I was wondering if you were following the lead of some music "critics" who were putting it out there a few years ago that Kanye was the new Prince But, I saw a clip of Kanye on some show where he said that the Kardashians are the most remarkable people in the world and the babbled about how wonderful Kim is. I think this relationship works for him because Kanye has a dream of becoming a fashion designer. He can dress Kim like a play barbie doll of his creations. Plus wear what he thinks he can get away with as a man. This is business for him like someone else said. He is actually a smart business man and calculates his every move down to the wedding and child birth(which was made in the same place they married).

Yeah I heard a while back that he picks her clothes out everyday. Her style definitely changed after they got together. Last week, one of those tabloid shows found a photo of Kanye wearing the same blouse that was featured on a high fashion runway show like a year ago. I'm just having a hard time beliving that he doesn't see his marriage to her as career suicide. Surely he must be able to see the forest for the trees....

Critical aclaim OK, that is meaningless too, to writers of magazines and critics its nice, but RADIOHEAD have endless acclaim as a band through the entire 90s and on, about 90% of america have a clue who they are or one song by them. Media star and your name being everywhere is different now, Music is not a relevant form today in the big picture people need to except this, it may be to us as indivduals but when a number 3 album sells 60,000 copies its a new day for music now.

Music is still important to people, it's just that a lot of people now find ways to get music and listen to the artists they like without actually buying albums, whether it's by illegal downloading, youtube or spotify. That's bad for artist's income stream, I guess, but people do still listen to artists they love, they just don't buy albums in the conventional way you are talking about. So you can't look at the number of albums sold and say music is irrelevant to people because many more people are listening to artists' music than are actually buying albums.

I love so many different artists, but I have to be honest I only actually buy albums by maybe my top 5 or 10 favorites. The rest I do listen to in other ways. I don't really feel bad about that because #1) I'm on a budget and can't afford to buy everything I like #2) I do support a lot of artists by going to their live shows since you can't get that for free online.
