I never said he was on Prince's level(NO ONE IS). But their promotions of products are similar that things coincide with other things their doing. Also they both are multi taskers.I guess that's a Gemini thing.

Oh ok, you were referring to their work ethic/habits and not their sound. Okay that makes sense smile I was wondering if you were following the lead of some music "critics" who were putting it out there a few years ago that Kanye was the new Prince smile But, I saw a clip of Kanye on some show where he said that the Kardashians are the most remarkable people in the world and the babbled about how wonderful Kim is. Man, is this guy blind or is he using THEM to stay relevant?

I think this relationship works for him because Kanye has a dream of becoming a fashion designer. He can dress Kim like a play barbie doll of his creations. Plus wear what he thinks he can get away with as a man. This is business for him like someone else said. He is actually a smart business man and calculates his every move down to the wedding and child birth(which was made in the same place they married).

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

Yeah I heard a while back that he picks her clothes out everyday. Her style definitely changed after they got together. Last week, one of those tabloid shows found a photo of Kanye wearing the same blouse that was featured on a high fashion runway show like a year ago. I'm just having a hard time beliving that he doesn't see his marriage to her as career suicide. Surely he must be able to see the forest for the trees....

Kanye West has been in love with her for about 10 years on the low (but not really, if you've been peeping his lyrics)

So, it sounds like he's had a long-term crush on her. I guess some situations are inexplicable smile

It was more than a crush. Kanye was hitting that on the low. Amber confirmed it...

Sounds like he was obsessed with her for a while before they finally made their relationship public!

Ok again you are talking about a business that is non existent, he is a MEDIA star yes, Music is secondary to him not even put it third or fourth in importance and what people know him for. 6#1 albums OK well look at what it takes to have a number one album now for a MAINSTREAM artist, mariah carey is about to debut at number 3 with 60,000 albums sold, how many people are in the USA billions, do the math on that relevance of the MUSIC on that record, seperate the MUSIC from the media hypes and glitz and you have very little. Critical aclaim OK, that is meaningless too, to writers of magazines and critics its nice, but RADIOHEAD have endless acclaim as a band through the entire 90s and on, about 90% of america have a clue who they are or one song by them. Media star and your name being everywhere is different now, Music is not a relevant form today in the big picture people need to except this, it may be to us as indivduals but when a number 3 album sells 60,000 copies its a new day for music now.

Music is still important to people, it's just that a lot of people now find ways to get music and listen to the artists they like without actually buying albums, whether it's by illegal downloading, youtube or spotify. That's bad for artist's income stream, I guess, but people do still listen to artists they love, they just don't buy albums in the conventional way you are talking about. So you can't look at the number of albums sold and say music is irrelevant to people because many more people are listening to artists' music than are actually buying albums.

I love so many different artists, but I have to be honest I only actually buy albums by maybe my top 5 or 10 favorites. The rest I do listen to in other ways. I don't really feel bad about that because #1) I'm on a budget and can't afford to buy everything I like #2) I do support a lot of artists by going to their live shows since you can't get that for free online.
