Rapper T.I. and Floyd Mayweather in Altercation

Well, it looks like T.I. is in the middle of drama again. Looks like he had a confrontation with Floyd Mayweather. There's a video clip or two in this story but I have searched Youtube high and low to see if I can find a video of T.I. approaching Mayweather. Either way, this seems like a mess!

Yeah it must be tough for T.I. to run in the circles that he does, while trying to clean his life up....meanwhile, Mayweather (after the whole T.I. fight) decided to hit the strip club. The amont of money this guy has is ridiculous. I don't know if those were 20 dollar bills but whatever it is, he probably threw about $5,000 in the air!

This was shot right on 6th avenue around 46street in Manhattan i happend to be passing this day at that time and the street had all these random idiots blocking the sidewalk (illegal) taking pictures or someone inside, i was wondering what this nonsense was about but this is NYC and people take photographs of dog shit, so i dont stop for anything, cause people are always blocking streets up. But he was inside one of those "bootleg" gold shops that are all over that 2 block radius probably buying some gold etc...

I really wish these fools would keep themselves and their entourages out of manhattan, we actually got crime under control here.

Yeah I could see in the video that even after he threw up a lot of money that he still had a stack in his hand. I hope he has good body guards. Between the loads of cash and his Bugatti, I would think it would make him an easy target. Anybody know how much Mayweather is worth? I heard on the news at one point that Floyd was in the running to buy the Clippers.

Not really sure but with almost all these events shootings whatever, they are always because of people in the entourages, but to me you are responsible for the people you employ. I mean if someone in mcdonalds punches a customer who does the customer sue? the worker NOT they sue the company. So regardless of who shot a gun or who held the gun, the issue is who employs them who gives them cash to have guns.

As for Floyd and his money, they get tons of money from illegal sources for these boxing events, TO ME Boxing is the one sport that should be outlawed for its infusion of illegal gambling mob connections gang connections drug money etc...

I hate to sound naive but what connection does boxing have with drug trafficking? I also agree with you about the entourages getting into trouble. That's a big part of it as well. Mayweather's body guards are HUGE. Go on Youtube and find any entrance that Mayweather makes during a fight and these mammoth dudes are flanked all around Mayweather!

Boxing events are all about gambling, pay per view events, alot of under the table PAY for outcomes either way, and there is influence from outside sources on outcomes. Never saw what it is with this sport, two guys beating the shit out of each other, if this was happening outside people fighting would get arrested, put up some ropes and get a bell and money involved and its a sport.

Yeah it makes sense to kind of see it through the lens of greedy folks. I never figured out what "boxing promoters" were all about and still don't. Yeah the gambling connection makes sense, that's usually where mobsters can be found. But which mob controls boxing? Russians? Jews? Italians?

Yeah TMZ and World Star Hip Hop are hyping this up. If you go on Youtube to find other videos, you'll notice that all of the clips are of the same 60 second video. I don't know who scrubbed the other videos that probably were posted but I've never seen 15 clips show the same 60 seconds and the fight was in a public place?!?!?!? What a mess biggrin

Boxing ain't tae kwon do. It's much more closer to realistic fighting. If a fight actually happened between the two, T.I would stand on his feet for a long time. Even if he managed to grap him, Mayweather has trained strength training and stamina for the purpose of lasting long as well being able to do extremly explosive movements. Does anyone even think that T.I would stand a chance with his "street smarts"? Was Mayweather brought up in an over protective environment that made him weak? This made him one of the best boxers of all time?

I've read a lot of comments from people online and it seems that the consensus is the same. A street fight isn't the same as boxing in the ring. I am still wondering where the video or photo evidence is that T.I. was even there. He posted a video that seemed to taunt Mayweather but it may just be theatrics.

Tiny is pissed! Because T.I. "allegedly" fathered a child with a random side chick...So they both have been saving face publicly. Because of their successful reality show. But privately living seperate lives..disbelief

That makes sense. When she was on Arsenio a few weeks ago, she kinda danced around the issue with her relationship with T.I. From what I can tell, despite what Mayweather says, it seems that they are probably closer friends these days. Tiny's message on Instagram on Saturday night/Sunday morning was somewhat unclear but once I saw the second picture (that didn't seem to get to the internet until several hours later) I was convinced that Tiny was doing that just to get under T.I.'s skin.

It's kinda sad that TI couldn't live up to the family man image he was pushing on this show. It's light entertainment with too many kids and the goofy, sassy bestie but it was a mild change of pace from the shenanigans that go on over at Love and Hip Hop. They seemed happy. Oh well.

Have you seen the Youtube video of Mayweather and T.I. somewhere in Manhattan having a discussion? How in the world did those two manage to run into each other in a huge city like NYC? I am still wondering why the only videos that I have seen are the same old videos but show the same footage. There's no way that hundreds of people didn't have their cellphones in tow so that they could get it caught on tape themselves....only one person managed to get the whole incident on camera.

If these guys had any clue on what it actually takes to become a great boxer. Boxing is not just throwing technically good punches with speed. It's strength, stamina, explosive movement, trained response time, experience. Now if T.I had been fighting every day in the streets for all his life against the toughest thugs, then maybe.

However Mayweather has more than 15 years of experience winning 46 out of 46 professional matches against the best boxers in the world, ending 26 of them with knockouts. How would it be possible that this super fast, explosive man with exeptional stamina and unpredictable and extremly effective manouvres would loose to a junkie like T.I. I know that the streets can be a jungle. But does the street make you a better overall fighter than one of the best fighters in boxing history? You really think T.I has that much experience.

The closest thing to a streetfight without eqipment that I could think of would be UFC/MMA. But even here, you'd have to be on a very high level to be able to tacle him, and lock him with wrestling moves. We can't forget that Mayweather just like every other top level boxer is probably very good at reading the opponent, and can take punches towards his own head from the most explosive opponents. Maidana punched him extremly hard many times, and he still stood there like a rock. Boxers usually have trained their neck muscles, stomach, back and their whole upper body in a way that they'll take a serious amount of beating before they fall or stumble. And their feet are solid. Balance is some of the things they work on all the time. There's so many assholes that has been giving a serious amount of ass wooping because they attacked the wrong guy. And often that someone they thought was a weak victim was an experienced boxer.

It's a difference between being street smart guy that occacionally runs into trouble having to defend yourself every now and then and to actually train this as a sport that you put hours of intense workouts perfecting technique, form, mental balance etc every day. I have never heard of street thugs putting elite boxers to sleep in a fair match. And definatly not a party loving junkie like T.I. Warriors back in ancient roman times etc had to practice their skills every day to win their battles and come home alive to their beloved wives. Running into trouble in the streets didn't make them the greatest warriors wink

People that practice sports such as Tae Kwon Do on the other hand would probably have bigger problems facing an experienced street smart fighter. That's because Tae Kwon Do is not based on knocking out the opponent, but just amount of hits on the right spots etc. THey're just counting points. It's a show off martial art that kind of works from distance.

Interesting. I also think that another part of the issue is the entourage that they both run with. The bodyguards would step in and prevent those two from getting too close to each other. How in the world did T.I. even get close enough to Mayweather to be able to take a swing at Mayweather? The following day, T.I. is on Instagram showing (off) the bandages around his hands. Again, this makes no sense. If he connected I'm sure Mayweather would have come back with a counterpunch. As you stated, trained fighters have completely different set of instincts. Seems that T.I. is picking the wrong fight though. It seems that Tiny and T.I. are headed to splitsville and what better way to egg on your soon-to-be ex-husband than to take pictures with a man who is worth an unimaginable amount of money.
