She posted a picture on instagram with a new straighter shorter hairstyle. So maybe she is doing something at the Billboard Music Awards.

I don't see why a first single from Madonna with a big tv performance that people like and sounds like her which the clip seems to whether you like it or not (not like GMAYL) wouldn't do well on the charts. Second and third singles from an album no, but first single yes. All of her first singles have done well expect GMAYL. 4 minutes was a huge global hit. She's not Mariah or Janet.

She's almost 56 now, she's not getting the same attention as 10-15-20 years ago. GMAYL got to a huge audience at the Superbowl and that was only good enough for one week at #10 on the Hot 100, the BMA will have a smaller audience and radio won't be playing her. Even UK radio moved on from Madonna now, hence why I think it will do the same way as Mariah's buzz singles.

The first single from a new Madonna album will do well. She doesn't have any problems getting a Top 10 hit with the first single."Hung Up","4 Minutes" and "GMAYL" all reached the Top 10 with no problem. There aren't too many artists her age who can achieve this feat.

GMAYL was pure luck to hit Top 10, without the Superbowl it wouldn't have happened. I definitely would not hold my breath for the next single to go anywhere near top 10, considering how the charts are now, including streaming etc, but of course it would be a pleasant surprise. But I would remind everyone how certain other female albums did recently and adjust their expectations towards an artist with 30+ years and 13 studio albums behind her back.

I wish she'll do something fresh. Her last 3 albums have been disappointing to me: too much trying to rival with the new popstars on the block and too much trying to emulate the shit on the radio. It wasn't completely bad because hell, she's Madonna and she knows how to make songs, but I'm looking forward to her coming with something totally fresh. I'm still blown away by Music: with that album she wasn't just following trends, she was ahead of her time. I wish she could blow me away again.

i just feel like she keeps repeating herself these last few years.

the music ranges from rnb to pop to dance, but somehow all of

those albums post Ray of Light feel the same, with some slight

variables in there (Confessions being the best one).

/

so if she doesn't really mind repeating herself anymore or not

reinventing herself totally, then why doesn't she create another

Ray Of Light type album? she knows people loved it and it's her

last truly great album -for most regular people anyway.

/

either go back and update the Like A Prayer album in a new,

more contemporary way (actual songs, melody, deeper lyrics)

or try her hand at another Ray Of Light. i'd even be pleased if

she would do something akin to Erotica/Bedtime Stories once

again, if it was executed properly.

/

but please please please, no more generic dance album confused

Ray Of Light is one of those amazing,career-defining albums that can't be re-created again. It would be like expecting Prince to create another Sign O The Times lol In fact,Madonna worked with William Orbit on MDNA and as you can see,it wasn't exactly ROL Part 2.I guess what I'm trying to say is....it's hard to make a "unique" album in 2014.There's no more ground to break. There's not too many producers out there who are doing stuff that no one's done before, especially in the dance music world.I suppose Madonna could shift gears and do a rock album or a country album, but come on....we know that most of her fans wouldn't like that, lol.Personally,I enjoyed Hard Candy and I think MDNA was solid most of the way through.

i agree with everything you said. yet, i still want another ray of light lol
no, seriously, i don't hate any of her post-ROL albums. in fact some are

really brilliant in their own right (Confessions). the rest has good songs

on them and all but it just all falls short JUST this side of bland or goofy.

i'd like to see her go back and do something either more pop or a little
bit more introspective. but whatever she releases, i'll still be listening smile

there's another clip that has vocals and it appears to be the chorus:

unapolegetic....yeah

the freedom to feel....yeah

Not sure if it's fake or not,but it sounds like Madonna to me.I'll see if I can find that clip.

here's the clip with the vocals....the first 10 seconds or so.It's very low quality,so it's hard to tell if it's really her vocals....

"Trust" is an outtake from MDNA,I wonder if she re-worked it for the new album?

It's been two weeks since that Billboard snippet... But I don't see Madonna doing a surprise release with the whole album, I don't think she would do that without a tour in pipeline. I can see her putting out a song to iTunes to create buzz but the full album will follow in the Fall with the tour shortly after (not starting in US or Europe this time of course).

I don't really see the advantage of doing a surprise album on itunes. I think a lot of Madonna's fans do like to collect things and they like a physical copy of the album, although not maybe the single.

I know the surprise thing has been talked about a lot since Beyonce did it, but honestly I don't see it working that well for most artists.

I think a surprise single on itunes could work though.

The Billboard snippet is not her, thankfully, now we can hope she won't sound like a Daft Punk rip off after all:

EXCLUSIVE - We know that you are all excited due to all the rumours going around these weeks. We at DrrownedMadonna.com have some important info to share with all Madonna's fans.

Madonna's upcoming album is not close to being done yet! She is working hard to record a gorgeous album.

Our reliable sources told us that Her Madgesty is not going to follow Beyoncé. Her next album won't be a surprise a la Beyoncé.

We are also sad to tell you that the Billboard snippet that we all loved is not Madonna's.

Stay tuned at DrownedMadonna for more exclusive news...

That snippet was actually played in full THREE months ago...

http://www.mixcloud.com/F...-feb-2014/ (at the 2:00 mark)

So unless she bought this track like Revolver or Turn Up The Radio and re-recorded it, Billboard was playing with everyone...

I guess a late September album release is the earliest possible now with a tour starting before the end of the year, in Australia/Japan...
