Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis New Release? Anybody out there know anything about this? Inside the booklet of Mary Davis' "Separate Ways" CD (the new Tabu/Demon remaster) she mentions something about "a new track by the S.O.S. Band that Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis are putting out on somethin'..." Big Flyte Tyme fan 4 life and am just curious and hopeful. Thanks! Peace out! Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

I heard that Jam and Lewis are finally recording an album of their own, which will feature many of the artists they have worked with in the past.Perhaps that is what Mary was referring to?

Nice, twr!!!!! It's about TIME! And Soul, could BE. Not sure. I'll have 2 revisit my "Separate Ways" booklet and see. And speaking of Mary, what happened to her "Steppin' Out" CD that was supposed to have been released on 2/10/14? It never happened. Sniff sniff. Sob sob. Hungry? Wasn't Monte Moir part of The Secret? You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I wonder why he and Jellybean stopped working with Flyte Tyme. The later stuff was either Big Jim Wright or The Avila Brothers. Jam & Lewis even worked with Jesse Johnson on the Chaka Khan album. Monte did co-write one song with them on the Original 7ven album though. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. Y'know...I'm not entirely sure, buddy. Flyte Tyme's been under the radar these days, oddly. The last thing I know of by them was Ledisi's "Higher Than This" from her "Turn Me Loose" CD. Other than that, y'just don't hear much about 'em anymore. Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

Around the time Condensate came out, Jimmy Jam said him & Terry were working with a new group of teenaged brothers called The Roney Boys. I guess it didn't get released because I never heard anything else about it. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. Jimmy Jam tweeted this 9 hours ago:
By the way JB bring the mirror. We're getting ready to finish this new Morris Day funk anthem for the #jam&lewisprojectvol1 #toofunky "Life's an elevator, it goes up and down. Life's an elevator can't you dig the sound?" -Marc Bolan

- That's a good look too because they've always delivered for Usher. Even though they haven't had any singles released in awhile from him, his album tracks were always on point to me. "Mars vs Venus," "Bad Girl," "Can You Help Me" all worked for me. - "Can You Help Me" has one of Jimmy Jam's most beautiful melodies. It's sad as hell but beautiful
