You can't even compare them. I DO like the RHCP version though and listened to it a lot when I was in high school. I didn't even know about Stevie's original version until later.

wave Non-crack smoker here that Loves the energy of the Chili's version. Musically their version doesnt deviate too much from the original, and the speed punk ending sells it for me. Chili Peppers all day.

Stevies all day for me. BUT i love the Chili Peppers version though. The bass line, and the punked out drums at the end kill it.
