Don't know if you were expecting replies to this thread, but On The Corner is a great record. That Downbeat review (two stars?) gave it a bad rep for such a long time and a lot of people automatically thought it wasn't good. It's every bit as good as the other Miles records from that time (in other words, some of the best music ever made).

It's more of an intriguing album to listen to as opposed to listening to it because I appreciate

any beautiful musicality. If I'd want that, I'd listen to Sketches of Spain.
