Catching Up With 80's R&B Singer O'Bryan

Had no idea he released a CD in 2007. I just looked for it and the prices are crazy on amazon and ebay. Guess I'll have to download.

I downloaded his 2007 CD "F1rst". It's a very fine album. Glad he wasn't trendy or trying to sound like Usher or Ginuwine. He stayed true to himself, which an artist can do when they are not worried about hits and radio play, and it resulted in a very high-quality album. I just hope one day I'm able to get a hold of the real CD at a reasonable price.

Thanks for the post. Ive been wondering what O'Bryan has been up to lately.

As far as the album F1rst. That thing was really good. About a month after it came out, i went looking for the CD and the price was high even back then.

That album has some really nice and funky slow jams on it. About a year and a half ago i posted a few songs from it(on here).

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

You can probably find it on Itunes (that's where I got my copy). And you can download it from Amazon, also. That's if you don't mind having to download it.
