it sounds like a prince song because the snare sounds like the snare on the rave record and it is another james brown rip off of a song much like prince 'the work pt. 1' .. a typical throw back song in the vein of Duffy .. its not the best song ever but it is better than most of prince last couple decades .. the reason it probably has nothing to do with prince is that there isn't anything especially stupid and annoying about the song .. prince would have ruined this groove with some preachy braggado and scraping the bottom lyrics about sex or whatever it is he has these days | |

Everyone in both Afro-American music and synthpop have been influenced by Prince to some extent so if we're gonna wonder whether Prince was involved everytime a song sounds a bit like him... + no, that song doesn't sound much like Prince if at all... I think some people here have very little musical culture and hear Prince in songs that don't sound like him at all, just because they don't know much music besides Prince and the shit they hear on the radio (see the thread about Robin Tick from a few months back).
