Rumor: Beyonce & Jay-Z to be the Opening Act at the 2014 Grammy’s

Rumor has it that the King and Queen of music are set to open up the Grammy’s this year on Sunday January 26th. That’s right; a little birdie told Kontrol Magazine EXCLUSIVELY that the Grammy organization and The Staples Center are working hard to keep a tight lid on Jay-Z and Beyonce’s huge opening surprise.

Now although the opening act has not yet been confirmed by the Grammy’s, our exclusive source tells us that it’s happening for sure.

Back in December, Beyonce shocked everyone with a surprise self-titled, highly explicit, overnight released album that broke all kinds of records, shutdown iTunes, and even had big name stores like Target and Amazon mad with their panties in a bunch. Jay-Z has also had one monstrous year, as he also released a hit album, toured with Justin Timberlake, and sold out many stadiums for his Magna Carta Holy Grail tour. Together, the two have maintained their post as power couple and number one artist so it makes total sense that they open up at the biggest show in music

If this is true then we are all smiles over here at Kontrol! We can’t wait to tune in to the Grammy’s and hear the first line sang “I been dranking, I been dranking.” YESSSSSSSSSSSS

Rumor is going around that Justin Timberlake is going to join them.

Maybe Prince will come out and do a 30 year version of Purple Rain lol!

If those 3 open its good to know to turn the show on about 20 minutes into it to miss that.

I LOVE Jigga & B-Girl but I stopped watching the GRAMMYS LIVE years ago. My DVR records just about everything so I can fast-FWD thru crap I don't wanna see....I don't even have a reason to record this year's ceremony...Jigga gets nominated for 8 awards every other year....I might just do the DVR thing and read about the winners when I go to work...

I def can't wait to find out if Tamar Braxton wins her first GRAMMY...

Thank you, that's the funniest title ever. The only reason why I would even think to tune in is to see if Prince will do a surprise performance. I'd rather DVR it, then I can fast forward all the boring rejects.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I'm not surprised to hear this. They have to try to hook the younger audience somehow.

Remember the good old days when the Grammy's was a night of great music and talent? Those days are long gone except for maybe one or two performances each year.
