Britney Spears has unveiled the artwork for her eagerly anticipated album Britney Jean, and it's simple and sweet: a black and white photo of the singer, with a heart and the album's title spelled out below in pink and blue neon.

To go along with it, Britney's penned a personal letter to her fans, telling them about the new disc. "I am so excited for you to hear it. I poured my heart and soul into this album and it's been an incredible journey," she writes. "I've learned a lot about myself, and as I am finishing, I am reminded of the incredible foundation that has supported me for the last 15 years. Thank you all for continuing to follow me on this journey and for allowing me to do what I love to do."

Britney goes on to say that when she says it's her "most personal record yet," she really means it. "It's true and I’m really proud of that," she adds. "I have been through a lot in the past few years and it has really inspired me to dig deeper and write songs that I think everyone can relate to."

The singer adds that working with the collaborators on the record, who include will.i.am, singer/songwriter Sia and producer William Orbit, has been an "amazing experience," adding, "They have listened to all of my ideas and helped me bring them to life." So what can we expect? "There are a lot of really fun, upbeat dance songs, but it was important to me that I show my strength, and my attitude, and my vulnerability. Of course, I also have some surprises for you guys," Britney dishes. "I want to show you the different sides of Britney Spears. I am a performer. I am a Mom. I am funny. I am your friend! I am Britney Jean," she finishes. "Hope you love my labor of love!"

Britney Jean will be available December 3. You can pre-order it starting November 5, and get a free download of the new song "Perfume."

She looks nicer on the photoshopped Perfume cover than the Britney Jean Cover, but I like the concept of the Britney Jean black and white photo with the neon lights, she just doesn't look pretty though.

Looking forward to this. I hope it's good! I know she's saying it's her most personal album but i hope that doesn't mean slow and boring.

I think the last one was better.

I'm really liking Alien and It Should Be Easy.

I'm really not liking the vocals being so drenched in autotune. Everyone knows she can't hold a tune, but that wobbly tone shifting really has become unpalatable at this point.

Her sister's vocals are rather colorless on the corny-as-fuck Chillin' With You, though she's still a better singer than Britney.

I'm not hearing any smashes this time around. Is she now too old to get dibs on the best pop songs out there? Sad.

It's a good pop album. She's been consistently good since In the Zone. Not groundbreaking but also not pretentious like Lady Gaga. I like Britney. She just does her thing. You can like it or leave it but she doesn't force you to love her the way the Lady Gaga or Christina do.

She's the humble Britney Jean.

There's definitely autotune on her vocals but I think this is the least amount I can remember in recent years. Her last album was autotuned galore. Dare I say she almost sounds natural on this one? I like the album. I appreciate that it's pretty straight forward. 10 tracks with only 3 guest features and no pretenses. This album will be a quick grower for me. I think it's more cohesive than Art Poop.

It's a good album. It's much more catchy, melodic and accessible than Artpop. All dance/electronic music has autotune on it. It's part of the sound. It's used for effect as much as vocal correction.
