Why The Hell Is Living On A Prayer In The Top 40?

I Heard Living On A PRayer on the radio today... on modern freaking radio. Sometimes on set when we are builiding they play kiss FM or one of those popular stations. In the mix of Rihanna, GaGa, Royals, Eminem etc. Suddenly Bon jovi played confused

And it turns out Living On The Prayer is in the top 40 eek

Apperently it is because of viral videos.... that is insane. That viral hits can make a 26 year old song go into the charts again.

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

Its a great song and retro hits have always been reprised on the charts. The famous one I think of was "Reet Petite" by Jackie Wilson from 1957, was a bigger hit when re released in 1986 when it was promoted with a clay mation video of him singing the song. Wilson had died two years earlier.

Then theres the version of December 1963 (Oh what a night) by the four seasons which was a hit again in 1995 and the Ooga chaka song in the same year because of Pulp Fiction.

Its nothing new, enjoy it being there.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
