A truly great blues song that captures the zeitgeist of 1970's cynicism and despair. Bobby and Sly's singing is so haunting and and melancholy that it becomes hypnotic. Larry Graham playing triplets behind Gerry Gibson's live playing and drum machine is deep heavy funk. I always wanted Prince to cover this song and have it included on Sly's last album of remakes in the same way that "Purple House" was on Power of Soul.

One of my Sly favourites. This was the first song that made me realize that Sly was not just great, but truly on another level compared to other artist's of the time. Actually, I don't believe that this level has been reached since.

You have a very good insight on music of today a it isn't based on an "old schooled" perspectives.The truly ceatartists are now few and far between and until the band" format returns, l continue to have more of the same BS that we have currentlyt. The ban of the family stone, also had it yothe creative input of all members and it was the reasonS.in for their success lol
