I was? On first listen, it's kind of disappointing. They're just not that well-suited to this style of music somehow. And coming from James Murphy, it's a little dully sonically IMO. All their other stuff has grown on me, so I hope this will (but I don't really feel inspired to play it again!)

Honestly the double album thing was not needed...

It feels lsightly pretentious to have a double album... with 7 tracks on one and 6 on the other. And there both just a little over half an hour confused

Reflektor the title song is AMAZING love it!

Joan Of Arc & Flashbulb Eyes have great lyrics and i love the sounds smile

The album does have some good song subjects. but some feel rather uneven...

I'm really loving the album! I've listened to it multiple times and so far I don't find any song on it to be particularly weak. It has a nice variety of sounds and (in my opinion) is well produced.

I can see why people don't get it being a double album and I agree, the material could've fit on a single disc. At the same time, I sorta like the material being split up the way it is because Joan of Arc provides such a great end to the first half of the album. I suppose it's sort of like that thread on the Prince section of this forum where people say that songs like Darling Nikki will forever be the end of the first half of Purple Rain and When Doves Cry will always be the perfect start to side 2. For me, the album being split into 2 discs sort of does the same thing for me.

I haven't really gotten to listen to disc 2 anywhere near as much as I would have liked to, so far I've stuck to disc one for the drive to and from college but I am loving the album! Bowies presence on the title track is awesome!

no, this band hasn't released anything truly worthy after their classic debut,...

they are the best band of the last ten years...no doubt in my mind on that one...their debut album is an all time classic and their two follow up albums are great as well...their new album i have only heard once so a bit early to judge but early impressions are that its the weakest they have released so far..still a good album but by their high standards its not as good...the songs are too long in most cases and not as strong as previous albums...still a great great band though...seen them 3 times live and they are great live...sometimes they dont come across well on tv http://www.youtube.com/wa...tT9cPUOB_c they are superb..

I think it may take people a little while with this album, but Arcade Fire keeps getting better with each release! <3
