Chris Brown was arrested in Washington D.C. this morning for FELONY assault after allegedly attacking a man outside a hotel ... TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... at around 4:30 AM Brown got into an argument with a man outside the W Hotel on K Street and allegedly punched him once in the face. We're told the alleged victim never threw a punch.
The alleged victim tells TMZ ... he and a friend were hanging out at the W when they saw 2 women about to take a picture with Brown. The victim -- who says he's not a Chris Brown fan -- says he and his buddy photo bombed the 2 women and Chris went nuts, punching him in the face and BREAKING HIS NOSE. He went to the hospital and says he may need surgery as early as tomorrow.
Law enforcement sources and the alleged victim tell TMZ ... before striking the man, Chris said, "I'm not into this gay s**t, I'm into boxing." After Chris punched the man, the fight was taken to the ground.
Sources connected with Chris tell TMZ ... the alleged victim is full of BS. He was NOT trying to take a pic with Chris ... he was trying to get on Chris' tour bus, and Brown was simply trying to stop a trespass. The sources say before the incident the 2 girls tried to get on the bus but they were stopped, and that's when the victim and his friend made their move.
Law enforcement sources say Chris did not appear to be under the influence of anything.
Chris and his bodyguard -- who was also arrested -- will stay in jail today. Under DC law Brown can't get bail so he'll appear before a magistrate Monday, and until then he'll stay behind bars.
The alleged victim tells TMZ he doesn't understand why Brown was "so homophobic" to hurl such a slur. And get this ... the victim says he would have accepted an apology at the scene, but now he will absolutely press charges -- and he's already hired a lawyer.
Brown is still on probation in the Rihanna beating case and this could be grounds for violating his probation -- which means he could be sentenced to prison for nearly 4 years ... worst case scenario for him.
Before the incident, Chris had been hosting a party (pic below) at the nearby Park and 14th nightclub.

That's because he is constantly picked on! If you were constantly picked on, you would snap also. They doing the same thing to him like they did MJ. Driving him to go crazy! I just hope he keeps himself strong from these constant attacks, So he won't end up like MJ driven to DRUGS! He is still young and never been allowed to move on. Because he made ONE big mistake in his life. Once he gets lawyered up. The truth will come out! He will be back home today. I don't like Chris Brown because he beat a woman, Rihanna (as for Rihanna I don't like her either.....
The dude has got anger issues. He is an abuser. Who knows how many other women he has beat on. Beating a woman or a woman beating a man is NOT love, it's hate. Abusive men/women are controllers. A leopards spots never change and neither will he, he is what he is.

ive always believed everyone needs a 2nd chance, and sometimes 3rd and 4rth chances but ol Chris here is tired. its hard to feel sorry for someone who screws up while on probation again and again. maybe there is something about this story we dont know yet. | |

They were the first to report otherwise, now they’re claiming that Chris Brown didn’t throw the first punch on Sunday morning that landed him in jail. The site says that’s what the initial draft of the police report said. They go on to say that even though the mistake has since been corrected, it could work in Brown’s favor … and theirs, too. Sources connected with the case tell TMZ … the first version of the police report described Chris’ bodyguard as the person who threw the punch that broke the alleged victim’s nose — and further states Chris only jumped into the fight afterward. TMZ has reviewed the initial version of the report and we also obtained a revised copy … which now states Chris landed the bone-crushing blow. Chris’ attorney could make hay of the mixup, and the correction. We’re also told police videotaped Chris, the bodyguard, the alleged victim, and other witnesses describing who hit whom during the melee. Law enforcement sources say they believe some of the people on tape may be shading the truth or outright lying, so the confusion may be a bonus for Chris. And it could help vindicate

Chris Brown Charged With Simple Assault — Witnesses Speak
After spending a day in jail in Washington D.C. on Oct. 27, Chris finally made his appearance in court on Oct. 28, where he was charged with misdemeanor assault — a reduced charge from what he was arrested on — before being released without bail.Chris Brown is officially facing another assault charge. After being arrested for felony assault on Oct. 27, Chris was handed a reduced sentence of misdemeanor assault in a Washington D.C. court one day later and released without bail. Chris pled not guilty to the charges and he will be required to stay 100 yards away from the victim, Isaac Adams Parker, 20.
Chris Brown Charges — Breezy Charged With Misdemeanor Assault, Released Without BailBecause Chris was arrested on a Sunday, the courts were not open and the arraignment had to be pushed back to Monday, Oct. 28. But the extra day may have worked in his favor. The singer was arrested for felony assault for allegedly punching a man in the face, but in court he was only charged with a misdemeanor. Chris’ bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, was also released without bail and his charge was reduced to a misdemeanor. Chris had been ordered to take a drug test, but the judge canceled that order. Apparently the charges were reduced because the victim’s injuries were minor (though Isaac accused Chris of breaking his nose), and there were conflicting eyewitness accounts of the incident, according to TMZ. The site obtained conflicting witness statements from both Chris and Isaac. Chris claims he was on his tour bus when the victim tried to get on and Chris’ bodyguard “handled it.” However, Isaac told police he tried to get a pic with Chris, who allegedly said, ”I ain’t down wit that gay s**t,” and then said, “I feel like boxing.” Issac claims Chris and his bodyguard both punched him, and then Chris got behind the bodyguard and yelled, “Yeah, walk away!” Police say Issac was treated for a “fractured nasal bone.” For Chris to be convicted of the new charge, the prosecution will have to prove that he knowinglycaused serious bodily injury to the alleged victim, and that he engaged in conduct that put others at risk. “If Chris is found guilty on felony charges in D.C., he faces up to four years in prison,” attorney Darren T. Kavinoky tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. But the punishment for misdemeanor assault is far more lenient — just a maximum of 180 days in jail and a $1,000 fine, according to DC.gov. Chris could still face even harsher punishment, however, because he is still serving a five-year probation sentence for his assault involving his ex Rihanna in 2009. “The D.C. incident could also cause his probation in California to be revoked, and he could be given additional jail there,” Darren adds. “A conviction from D.C. is not required to cause his California probation to be revoked.” Chris Brown Fighting Misdemeanor Assault Charge – Breezy Could Still Face Jail TimeIn 2009, Chris pleaded guilty as part of a plea deal to avoid jail time. The circumstances are much different this time around, however, because a guilty plea could have landed him in jail anyways for a probation violation; and in this case, Chris’s camp has stated that he didn’t even throw a punchin the first place. “He didn’t hit anybody,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Words went back and forth and a little shoving and stuff but Chris didn’t hit anybody. He’s on probation and he has bodyguards and people to protect his space.” Nevertheless, “Chris could still face jail time” for violating his probation, Los Angeles attorney Mychal Wilson tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY, adding:
