Stacy Lattisaw

I haven`t been on the org for a while, but do you guys listen to Stacy Lattisaw? I`ve been listening to her albums non-stop the last days.

I have her early albums, up to Sneakin Out.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Love Stacy. I have a few of her CDs. More fond of her later stuff, where she sounded more grown up. This one is probably my favorite:

SoulAlive	I like her 1983 single "Million Dollar Babe".It was a new sound for her.....a New Wave-styled track with a Motown feel....sorta like Hall and Oates' "Maneater".This should have been a huge crossover hit for her.It's a fun,catchy song,just perfect for MTV audiences.
