I got a quick question: how many years do you have to have in your repertoire to be nominated for an induction to the Songwriter's Hall of Fame? Linda Perry is one of the first ones to emerge in the '90s and she first broke through with "What's Up" in 1993. So is the minimum year 20?

He seems to be jealous, EVERYONE she works with gives her the music and she sings lyrics over them, not really a huge deal (except when she records songs A&R'ed for her like "Revolver", "Turn Up The Radio" or "Love Spent"), she's been always like this and it's not like she didn't do amazing songs without him!

Why because you personally prefer John Mellenchamp's rock to Madonna's pop and dance music? Why does everyone feel the need to demean and denigrate Madonna's talent? Even though personally I find much more diversity and creativity to her songs over the years than John Mellenchamp who has always seemed to me to be a cheap Bruce Springsteen rip off. Well clealry you have listened to a few singles by Mellencamp, ONE he is light years beyond Springsteen, to me Bruce is limited, Mellencamp is more in the vein of Dylan, if you listen to more than Jack and Diane and Pink Houses you might find that, he has alot of blues albums especially in the last decade, also Mellencamp did alot in the field of mixing RB into his music something Bruce never did so way off on your comparison, maybe you can compare Jovi to Springsteen but not Mellencamp. As for Madonna i said nothing about her music, some i like some i dont, im talking as a writer she is limited, also dont give me shit about MALE rock cause i was the only one PUSHING FOR HEART AND JOAN JETT to get into the hall while you all were crying about Rush Kiss and Guns N overrated roses
