A lot of good songs. And good artist. I hope Luke James wins The Centric Certified Award cool. He is so deserving. He lost best new artist to the refill chick last year. This year he's not even in The Best Male/Soul Male Artist. Which is a crime. Luke can sing circles around all the singers in that catagory. Nomminated or otherwise. Luke is a 55th Grammy nominee. Losing to Usher- Climax. All I gotta say is: ♡Bring it home to momma wink. This shit is only the beginning. Get um baby wink cool♡.

Awesome that Soul Train named an award category after the Beautiful Queen of Funk Ms. Chaka Khan. They need MORE categories. The Soul Train Awards has the BACKING of Black radio, so it can return to the "glory days" if we're all serious about it. We need B-Girl, Jigga, Kanye & others to start performing and help put it back on a SOLID foundation.

******************************************************************************

For Example THREE Categories: Best Soul Album of the Year, Best Soul Female & Best Soul Male..

Well that's not surprising..The GRAMMYS & The American Music Awards do the same nominating process...Tamar's got Solo Albums under her belt but NOW she's gained some Street/Radio/Media credibility...I like that Award shows consider whether or not the Artist had little to NO "visibility/Media/radio play" as far as over-looking the artists past works. A lot of unknown Artists drop albums every day but their work will NEVER get radio play and certainly won't chart on anything....So I feel Award shows are being VERY fair to all the Artists whenever they nominate "Best New Artists"...

What we need is the industry to embrace the REAL soul artists and we need to bring the REAL soul artists back in the for front. Soul train is trying so I am not knocking them.... Why bring artists that are not SOUL and dont make SOUL music on the award show? That defeats the whole purpose of the award show. We need to promote the soul artists and give them a platform where they can be acknowledged. Grammys, Billboards, Ama's etc are not acknowledging the soul artists.Nice to see Fantasia, Janelle Monae, Raheem Devaughn, Solange, Chrisette Michelle, Charlie Wilson, Joss Stone and Bruno Mars nominated.

Solange is pretty damn good! she is way better than her sister in terms if lyrics and instrumentals.
