Salsoul Records remix album

'Dance Your Ass Off' Revisits Disco

Classics – Album Premiere

White Noize, Cube Guys and more remix Salsoul artists

'Dance Your Ass Off (Salsoul Remixes)'

What happens when classic disco gets reimagined by EDM stalwarts? In the case of Dance Your Ass Off (Salsoul Remixes), the results are as uplifting as they are electrifying. Classic Salsoul recordings like Loleatta Holloway's "Love Sensation," Inner Life's "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," and First Choice's "Love Thang" are the backbone of the project. But its modern electro, house and nu disco producers like White Noize, J Paul Getto, Federico Scavo and the Cube Guys who bring that label's vintage 12-inch sides into the present.

The result is an album of club music that should thrive alongside tracks by modern dance giants like Daft Punk and Cut Copy. Dance Your Ass Off (Salsoul Remixes) is due out on September 3rd.

I checked out the fan reviews on the Salsoul facebook page, and the fans are pissed. They hate these remixes! Taking classic disco songs and remixing them to sound "modern" is not always a good idea.

yeah, those remixes are garbage disbelief if they wanted to do this,at least they could have hired some top-notch DJs/remixers for this project. These remixes sound cheap, generic and boring.
