NRBQ - "The One and Only"

...

I've always liked the fact that this was a band you couldn't pigeohole. You might hear Rockabilly one moment, and Thelonius Monk Jazz covers the next...and in betwen, they managed to some wonderfully catchy tunes....some of them deceptively simple...I guess it's no suprise that they eventually they recorded a children's album. And their music's also been featured on 'The Simpsons', and 'SpaceGhost Coast to Coast'......

...

NRBQ - 'The One and Only', and 'If I Don't Have You'

...

...

'Everybody Thinks I'm Crazy' and 'Blame it On The World'

....

Because they were so diverse, I was going to say they'd be dead meat in today's climate.
However on second thought, I think they'd be warmly embraced by the Jam-Band crowd.

First two songs from their first album...

...C'mon Everybody & Rocket Number 9

An Eddie Cochran and a Sun Ra cover back to back. smile
