Excellent and most definitely an underrated singer, but her new album just doesn't do it for me. And then too, have any of you seen R&B Divas: LA? It's boring as hell, but I think she's a lot of fun. Obviously, she signed up for the wrong reality show.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I like her new album, but I'm not in love with it...yet.I'm gonna pick it up and hope that it eventually becomes a favorite. It's so good to hear her voice again. She's got a sexy, sophisticated voice/singing style.Even when the material isn't top-notch,it's still nice to hear her voice.

nuts I guess what I'm trying to say is...I love this woman! lol

It's been five years since fans heard new music from R&B diva Chanté Moore. On July 30th, Moore will release her eighth studio album,Moore is More. The 10-track album features nine original songs and one remake.

The singer is overjoyed about the arrival of her new album. “My heart is overwhelmed with excitement and joy in life and in my music," shared Moore. "I have more to give my fans, more than meets the eye, more of the same and more than what you expect.”

Much has changed for Moore since she last released an album in 2008. Most recently, the singer nabbed a spot on popular reality showR&B Divas LA. She and ex-husband Kenny Lattimore divorced in 2011 after nine years of marriage, which she said is an experience that pushed her to grow.

Moore is More will cover a myriad of topics and emotions from the past five years of the singer's life. "It talks about things I can't talk about, but I will sing about," said Moore at the 2013 ESSENCE Festivalabout her new album. Sounds juicy.

I don't usually watch shows like these, but I tuned in the other day, mainly to see Chante lol I was surprised at how entertaining this show was! Michele' still has that cute little "cartoon" voice, lol. In the episode that I saw,all of the ladies made a trip to Vegas.A previous episode showed Chante performing a song "Jesus,I Want You" and it was amazing!! This woman can truly sing love Thankfully, that song is on the new CD.

I like her album, for the most part, but I'm gonna have to skip over the uptempo tunes.Too much hip-hop influences for my taste confused that's the biggest problem that I have with most new R&B albums.Chante has such a lovely voice and she shines on the ballads. But the faster tracks all feature loud hip-hop beats/sounds,and one track even features an annoying female rapper.

I haven't heard the entire CD yet. Should be coming in the mail any day now. I've only heard snippets. I must admit I was a bit surprised that Shanachie decided to go with so much contemporary-sounding material instead of sticking with the smooth, romantic sound that we typically associate her with. I could have seen her maybe doing one or two contemporary songs but I hear more than that. I'm not complaining, though. Chante makes everything sound good. biggrin

You'll be skipping over a few of these tracks, especially the one with the female rapper lol but the slow jams/ballads are NICE.The first two tracks are the best songs on the album.

Just finished listening to the CD. First of all, could the label have skimpped any more off the packaging? I mean, the digipak is almost as flat as a piece of paper!!!

Overall, it was a decent effort. I'd probably say this is her weakest album in her catalog thus far but it definately has it's moments. Just wish they wouldn't have tried to take her in the contemporary route with so many of the songs. And, yes, she has a song on there featuring Da Brat as a guest rapper. I swear, I couldn't listen to that one. After the first minute, I hit the skip button. I'm sure lovers of club music may like it but it was just too loud and thrashing for me.

Da Brat...that's who it is lol I couldn't tolerate that one, either. To me,Chante is too classy and sophisticated to go the hip-hop route. She should leave that alone.

"Decent" is the way I would describe this album, too. There isn't any one 'outstanding' song on it,but there are several nice tracks.Chante's vocals are as good as ever.I still think her debut album is her strongest work.

Didn't Chante put out that song Bitter, where she repeats the N-word throughout it? razz

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I like her first four albums. I know the Exposed album gets more flack than it should but if you erase tracks 1, 2, and 4 you have an A plus album. I'm Keeping You and Love's Still Alright are just as good as any of her biggest hits. They blew this project by releasing that weak Jermaine Dupre track Straight Up as the first single. My favorite album was A Love Supreme. I saw her on tour with that album with Barry White, EWF, Gerald Levert, and Adina Howard whom came on first and i was glad i missed. lol

"Bitter" was my JAM!!!!headbang I think she was just letting out some frustration because her first marriage had recently dissolved. Some people may have took issue with the song, but, you got to admit, she sung it beautifully.biggrin
