Well dag, I guess it depends on which source you find more credible. A court ordered deposition or a website. I am sticking with the court ordered deposition.

[Edited 8/14/13 5:53am]

Well, Don. Mike also gave a court deposition in which he said Randy tried to steal money from him and tried to get him sell the catalogue.

And obviously, the Jacksons do not seem to have a problem to lie in the court. Among many things, Katherine said she does not remember Murray tria!?! sad She said that suing AEG was only her idea and that she did not discuss it with anyone, yet Mesereau gave an interview recently in which he said that it was actually him recommending her the laweyer at Janet's house and that he discussed it with Randy.

As for Randy's deposition, I am sorry, but it makes no sense.

"He said he's fine.
Did he seem fine?
At the time yes. But...
Did you think he had a problem at the time?
Yes."

Right, MIke seems fine, yet he thinks he has a problem.

He said he fired people who were not even his employees. He says the nanny was the one supplying MIke with drugs as well as calling him to inform him about it only to get "fired by him". TWICE.

He says that during the trial he had to take him to hospital because he was under the influence of something, yet Mesereau who dealt with him every single day at that time claims he never saw him under the influence of anything.

In 2007 or something like that, half of the family signed a letter saying he was not an addict.

He also said he tried to stage an intervention, but could not get enough people to help him. Right, so Michael is so addicted that it is endangering his life and he seems to be the only one in the family who sees it.

Sorry, Randy is the last person for me to be taken seriously even "under oath" in court. If that type of BS is acceptable for you, fine. But let me remind you, the Jacksons are fighting here for 40 BILLION!?!? I've seen people doing far worse things then lying in court for far less money.

[Edited 8/14/13 9:14am]

"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Dag, I agree with everything you posted. Let's not forget that it was Randy who was feeding the "drug" rumors to Friedman and others when Michael wouldn't agree to meet with him about money issues or doing the tour with the family. These were the so-called "interventions".

Jerkins To Release Unheard Songs

rodney-jerkins

Michael’s former music producer Fred Jerkins III is going to release Michael’s unheard songs.

Jerkins III, who works with his brother Rodney under the name Darkchild, claims to be working on a project incorporating music and video footage featuring Michael, according to a report by contactmusic.com.

“We have a number of unreleased songs and all sorts of video footage. There’s a project in the making right now that will include all those songs,” Jerkins said.

The music producer worked with Michael on his 2001 album ‘Invincible.’ He says their sessions together were the highlight of his career because Michael was so “relaxed” and “fun.”

“I worked with him for two years exclusively – It’s the biggest highlight of my career. He came to our studios in Pleasantville, New Jersey, and we built a really strong relationship and became really good friends,” he said. “I remember him, just for fun, riding on a three-wheel bike in the parking lot that belonged to someone with disabilities. He was really relaxed. Its things like that that you wouldn’t expect from Michael Jackson. We were comfortable with him as a family and my son had his fifth birthday at Neverland.”

Yeah, I heard a while back that the tracks were gonna be on the next posthumous release so fingers crossed.

And any footage of the Invincible sessions would be a welcome addition.

Glad to see Debbie Rowe again humanizes MJ when she testifies in court. Unlike his family, the drug stuff isn't thrown out there just to be thrown out there. She really emphasizes that MJ was in pain and had several medical issues and all those evil ass doctors just took advantage of poor MJ. Just really sad stuff. But major props to her for making MJ so sympathetic. Along with the sad stuff, she also told cute stories about MJ.

Hey Orlando, we are just 15 days away from “In The Studio With MJ” at Starke Lake Studios! This will likely be the last stop in the US before we pack the show up and head to Paris in October.

So let me tell you about this photo and note. Many of you have already seen the photo of Michael and I playing Jenga (I won), but the note is kind of cool. Michael was never known for his spelling, but he was amazingly honest. One evening during the Dangerous project he went up to the front desk at Record One, and our runner/resident comedian Rob Disner was out getting food or something. Michael needed a pen, just a simple 5-cent ink pen. So he takes one, but leaves Rob this note. How cool is that? Michael was at the top of his game, making a new album, prepping for the next tour, building Neverland, writing songs, etc., but he writes a note about taking a pen. Rob kept it and has it framed in his house, which I think is awesome.

More stories, music, video and “Family Friday Dinner” at Starke Lake Studios in Orlando on August 31st. Will You Be There?

Producer Timbaland working on Michael Jackson music, says DJ

It’s been an intriguing week for Michael Jackson fans as speculation continues regarding the potential release of new music from their idol.

What started as a buzz has now become a rumble, with Timbaland being added to the list of producers and artists who’re working on the King of Pop’s unreleased music.

Timbaland, who never had the chance to work with Jackson during his life, is best-known for his collaborative efforts with Missy Elliott and Justin Timberlake.

DJ Freestyle Steve, Timbaland’s official DJ, revealed that Timbaland had shown him some of the Jackson tracks he has recently been working on.

“So last night I heard some of the new tracks @Timbaland is doing for the King of Pop… WOW!” said the DJ via Twitter.

“To all the Timbaland & Michael Jackson fans; just know Tim did an amazing job with Mike’s vocals. The world will love it,” he later added.

This comes merely days after a number of other prominent music identities had offered similar sentiments, including Fred Jerkins, Max Methods and Justin Bieber.

The hype began seven days ago, on August 11, 2013 when Fred Jerkins III, brother of Rodney Jerkins and part of the “Darkchild” team, announced that unreleased tracks from their 1999-2001 collaborative sessions with Jackson were being prepared for a mysterious new project.

“We have a number of unreleased songs and all sorts of video footage,” stated Jerkins.

“There’s a project in the making right now that will include all those songs. I worked with him for two years exclusively – it’s the biggest highlight of my career.”

Next came the leak of “Slave To The Rhythm” – an unreleased Michael Jackson track from 1989 which was recently recorded by pop sensation Justin Bieber.

Bieber’s contribution was then compiled with Jackson’s original vocal and remixed as a duet.

“Excited for what is to come. MJ set the bar. Not only for music but for being an entertainer and how you treat the fans. Wish he was here… Big things ahead!” tweeted Bieber to his 43 million followers.

Max Methods, the DJ who produced the Jackson / Bieber duet, also weighed in via Twitter.

“I have so much respect for The [Michael] Jackson Estate and it was an honor to work on this record, but it’s unfortunate that the record leaked before it was ready.”

However, despite Max Methods’ shout out to them via Twitter, The Michael Jackson Estate quickly flexed their muscle on the issue, claiming that the Jackson / Bieber duet was not unauthorized and that no plans were in place to release the track.

It has also been well-documented for quite some time now that three Jackson duets with Queen legend Freddie Mercury, originally recorded thirty years ago at the King of Pop’s home studio in Encino, will be released later this year.

“There are a few items in progress. We will have something for folks to hear in a couple of months’ time, hopefully,” stated Queen guitarist, Brian May, in late July, 2013.

May, with the permission of The Michael Jackson Estate, has been collaborating on the tracks with band mate Roger Taylor and producer William Orbit; reportedly adding new guitar solos and vocal harmonies.

It is unclear in what capacity the Jackson / Mercury duets will be released. However, with the ever-growing talk of unreleased Jackson music being worked on, and the leak of “Slave To The Rhythm” featuring new vocals from Justin Bieber, the duets album that was once rumored to be on Sony and The Estate’s agenda has again become a topic of discussion.

As covered in a previous article; around the time that The Michael Jackson Estate’s first posthumous album, ‘Michael’, was released by Sony Music in late 2010, there was talk that the follow-up MJ project would be a complete album of newly crafted duets.

Teddy Riley, who produced music for Jackson on a number of occasions during his life (including tracks for 1991′s ‘Dangerous’ album and 2001′s ‘Invincible’) stated in a radio interview that because much of Jackson’s unreleased work was incomplete, duets would be built using what was available.

“He would do is go in and do the first verse, and the chorus, and he would not do a second verse,” said Riley of Jackson’s habits when writing or recording demos. “It’s just to get the idea down. So the next album that’s coming, and I don’t want to say too much, but the next album that’s coming is a duet album with a lot of great artists, because he only did first verses.”

This is the way Jackson worked in order to decipher which tracks he felt good about, and which he didn’t.

“What I do when I write is that I’ll do a raggedy, rough version just to hear the chorus, just to see how much I like the chorus,” explained Jackson in a 2007 interview with Ebony Magazine. “If it works for me that way when it’s raggedy, then I’ll know it will just work … I do that same process with every song. It’s the melody. It’s the melody that’s most important. If the melody can sell me then I’ll go to the next step.”

They destroyed slave to the rhythm , which was a completed great track not a demo , the estate is doing more damage to MJ's legacy......don't tell me the estate doesn't know about that horrifying duet , they knew , accepted it and gave it a go.....yuck , the duet is disgusting!!!!

The fact that teddy riley is saying the demos will be turned to duets is the highest proof that a disaster is coming.......

Timbarland isn't the only Producer, Michael Prince and Brad Buxer are involved too.. Timberlands work with Aaliyah is good, and some of his work with Justin Timberlake is nice.. And with Michael Prince and Brad Buxer working on the project too, i think it will be great, and im VERY critial when it comes to the Estate and their decisions... Don't knock the album before we even hear it.. I think they learned their lesson from the "Michael" album, i mean... how could they not have.

Im curious about the stuff he did with jerkins , cause he said he wanted to go vintage with mike and the started from scratch and thats what you heard on Invincible... But other people who worked with mike praised there work with him and i dont like it either so i dont get my hopes up.

But i dont really know what Timbaland should and could do to his songs cause he didnt have any involvement with them....

I don't believe its going to be a duet album, yeah its rumoured, but i HIGHLY doubt it.

I'm pretty sure the Freddy Mercury duets are a completely seperate project, i of coarse don't know this, but to my knowledge they are a seperate release.

And although Timbaland never worked with Michael, that doesn't mean much, i mean... Teddy Riley worked with MJ, but his work on the Michael album didn't show it... I think (unless this is infact a duet album) it will be a good release..
