This Macklemore Video Is My Crowining Achievement

I posted in april when the video came out that i worked on the SoCal portion of this video! i kind of thought Macklemore would be a one hit wonder but this song has been number 1 for week's now!

This is probably my greatest achievement so far with working on commercials and music video sets. Knowing this is number 1 has inspired to work even harder than i already am so i am thankful i had an oppurtunity to work on this!

And before others come in here dissing him... Macklemore is actually a very cool guy to work with and he made the shoot a lot of fun. Most musicians who's sets i worked on treat the crew like shit but he actually took the time out to talk to everyone. Not to mention he has an entire song about supporting gay marriage and being that i am gay i can really dig that.

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

While I'm not a huge fan of Macklemore he's the closest thing rap has had to an artist in a LONG time. It's not just "I smacked a ho down, at a hoe down. I can't wait to lay her down. La-la-la lay her down." It took me five seconds to make that up. He at least puts some thought into his stuff. Even Thrift Shop has more thought than most rap out there.

And you know he recorded a large part of it in New Zealand, particularly a place called Cathedral Cove in the Coromandel. He did the Kiwi scenes in February (Our summer and it was a hot dry one for once). Its was on the news, the song was a number 1 hit for several weeks.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

This was shot over i believe 3 months and 16 different countries!

I heard about the New Zealand shoot cause i think Chronicles Of Narnia and other movies were shot in the Catherdral Cove? so that is pretty cool smile

The Southern California shoot was only 2 days.

Everyone on the org knows kendrick lol and i love kendrick he is one of my favorite modern rappers.

But his songs sadly did not get nearly as much airplay as Macklemore's 2 singles.
