I've always found it odd that as a professionally and classicly trained dancer in dance music how little there is dancing in her videos.

You know what though, the reason she looks great in music videos is she knows how to MOVE. Even if it isn't choreographed steps. Some people look great in still photos but get them on stage or video and this is where Madonna beats them and I think that has to do with her dancer awareness.

Madonna videos never disappoint...WITH the exception of Give Me All Your Love....That song and video if I could I would erase it from my memory banks barf

Power of Goodbye ( that blue-ish coloring and her dark hair...stunning)

Frozen (IMO She set the bar way high with this gem)

Nothing Really Matters (I LOVE the off eery Asian Manson feel)

Rain ( I'm not sure if it's the make up/ hair / the intense blue eyes but my girl knows how to work a freaking camera...there is no dancing but the is a sense of movement in just the flow of the images)

Dress You Up ( chunky Madonna nuff said)

Lucky Star ( B-girl/Punk Madonna ...yes I was one of the girls copying the look and I'm Black lol )

Secret ( I love the diverse people shot for the video)

Bad Girl (what everyone else said before me)

Human Nature MY FAVORITE!!!!!!!!!! (The vinyl, the heels the cornrows with the fro, the cubes....need I say more)

Papa Don't Preach/Vogue/Like A Virgin/Material Girl/Like A Prayer (These to many are her iconic videos, and even though I love all the ones mentioned earlier more ....you just can't deny the impact these five had on Pop culture)

Well if one thing, this thread encouraged me to go out and buy Celebration as it was on special and I now have my very own collection of Madonna videos which helps when the Vevo ones are full of ads and the usual copyright issues.

Yes Erotica and Justify my love are truly amazing videos and it helps that they are both great songs as well. I feel like Erotica is almost a continuation of Justify my love. Watch them together and you will see what I mean

What do you guys think of celebration, I know it misses a few like Nothing Really Matters and Holiday, and theres no MDNA ones but I thought 2 DVDs for $18.99 was pretty decent.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

I like it....although it's missing a few essential videos (namely,"Bad Girl",which is my favorite video of hers!) But at least we have that video on the earlier collection that she released in the late 90s.

There's no excuse for omitting "Bad Girl" from a Madonna video compilation. disbelief

Despite it being one of my favorite Madonna songs, it certainly wasn't a big hit, but that video is definitely one of her best.

While Music's a sentimental favorite (for the Sacha Baron Cohen cameo), my favorites are Human Nature and Rain. The latter's particularly stunning.

No one has mentioned I''ll Remember, thats a pretty good video too, a companion piece to Rain.

Saw Bad Girlk, its not bad, but I think theres better, yeah shes acting the part of the vixen who fucks her husband to death in the movie, but wheres the dancing, the excitement, the costumes and pizazz that usually surround Madonna videos. I have to say the song is much better than its video.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

clapping Nice to see "Bad Girl" in the lead! A little disappointed "Oh Father" hasn't gotten that many votes... where's Moonbeam when you need him. I'll have to finish my list soon. I'd definitely put "Take a Bow" and "Sorry" on there for starters.

Uh...it's a ballad lol I don't think a choreographed dance routine would fit in this video, lol

me too.

It should be up there with Bad Girl imo.

classic classic classic.

None of todays "it" girls could ever pull off a song/clip that powerful.

I have to agree. They could have even removed one of the other videos ("Miles Away" or "Give It 2 Me",since neither of those are very exciting),if they needed room for it.

I don't know? I am sure the Chorus could accommodate a few break downs and dance sequences, I could see some hand and knee movements to "Bad Girl, drunk by 6, smoked too many cigarette today". Perhaps a Human nature type thing with dancers moving around Madonna.

The scenery in the video and her look are pretty great though.

It might be a case of trying to compile the two CDs with her biggest hits and then highlighting new stuff... and then the DVD being an afterthought, like "let's just duplicate the 2xCD track sequence for the video comp"

Not my absolute favourite, but one of the funniest and most iconic is Borderline. The video is totally the early Madonna. First shes wearing a red bow in hair and has leg warmers while she's breakdancing and doing double dutch I think with some kid, then she's hanging around with photographer and wearing Kitschy Victorian bathing outfits. Then we have the boy toy look with the bedraggled hair and total Cyndi Lauper homage, but the highlight is her spraying painting love hearts on to a marble column and then everything else. She's then fucking with the photographer and off chasing the Hispanic street tuff at the pool bar, back to her slutty crump cake hair do and outfit. Its just classic. Anyone watching this in early 84, would have just thought "This Madonna person is one strange cookie, but she is compelling".

The photographer is seen as somewhat as a distant and aloof figure with his nice car and the studio, its in black and white and then back on the street with her Latino beau, its all full garish colour and Madonna in her legwarmers and the bow lol. Madonna is behaving like a spoilt little cow, but we love it.

I just think its so typical of the early "I just don't give a shit Madonna". Its amazing how she develops from video to video after that. Papa don't preach is miles away and yes her 89 - 98 period had the best videos, but apart from Human Nature and Erotica they lack the fun and spontaneity of early videos like Borderline.

Seriously I giggle every time I watch it, but you also realise too, that its a great song and Borderline was probably her first truly iconic song. Holiday, Lucky star etc are good, but they miss the epic quality of Borderline. Borderline rocks and its one of my Top 5 Madonna songs. Its probably also why the song was her first Top 5 hit and paved the way for Like a Virgin.

I always thought his best role was as Chi Chi Rodriguez on Too Wong Foo. He's never really cut it as an actor for me, too annoying and weird in the Bobcat vein. He was funny as Chichi "Vita you speak honky" and "And then he kissed her on the lipses" great at milking silly racial stereotypes.

He works quite well in the video as he dosen't talk, and my eyes are on Madonna most of the time anyway. Thats how most her videos are, lots going on, but Madonna is the figure most eyes are on.
