Man Guns, i haven't heard that name in a while. I thought lightning bolt had disbanded years ago.

Lightning Bolt are an acquired taste but if a person can get past the initial noise, lo-fi and craziness of some of their songs they do have some interesting musical ideals.

They always reminded me of a more intense, chaotic Big Black. Steve Albini should have produced some of their albums.

Thanks for refreshing my memories. I gotta check out their newer stuff.

Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.

Glad i reminded you! they have been making some crazy stuff for years.

Basically every song they do is beating instruments as loud as they can and playing crazy with lot sof other noises mixed in... it's pure insane fun.

I had a couple of LB albums... but I sold them. Apparently they refuse to play on a stage, and perform in the middle of the floor of whatever venue they happen to be at. The idea of a duo playing facefuck bass and drums appealed to me at first, but they are a bit too noisy for me. I instead turned to DFA 1979 for my bass and drums fix, they were a little easier on the ear. wink
