California45	I'm watching this show on youtube. Seriously...this is a hot mess LOL. It's all over the place...I'm glad Madonna explains what the show is "about" because it is not evident by the staging or choreography. And I'm pretty sure at one point during Papa Don't Preach, she was carried away by people dressed in aminal masks??? hahaha - messy.

Absolutely. I enjoy the straight up shows with bands but more from rock/indie type of artists. I don't want that in a Madonna show. I love the format and creativity of her shows. She shouldn't change just for the sake of changing.

phillymonster	Watch "The Girlie Show." There are SEVERAL numbers that have Madonna singing with a huge band and she does wonderful. No, I can't imagine her doing a show just playing guitar and singing. But she can do a good show without the theatrics. YouTube The Reinvention Tour. She sounds great on many of those numbers.

I love Kylie but...

I saw her at the Hollywood Bowl and it was embarrasing. She just stands there. And the theatrics were second rate. Calling it a Vegas Act would give her too much credit. There was a number done in a "locker room"; a gay locker room from what I could gather, and the "dancers" were straight out of Mickey's or The Abbey. No rhythm, just a lot of arms in the air and shit like that. My gay friends loved it. The straight friends that came along went home early.

hahaha - messy.

The first part of the show is dark and "scary" at times lol "Papa Don't Preach" was an odd choice for that particular segment and I don't think it worked.Same with "Hung Up".
