After teasing the announcement with daily messages since last Friday, the Rolling Stones this morning confirmed what most people had assumed: they're hitting the road one more time.

...

In a video posted on their YouTube channel at 9:00 a.m. ET sharp, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts are shown engaging in a video conference, with each saying hello in turn. Wood is shown turning away from a canvas he's painting, which bears the names of five cities: Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Boston and Philadelphia.

...

"Well, it's about time, gents," Wood says. "I've been waiting for this call."

The video then cuts to concert footage of the band performing "Start Me Up," then displays the "50 and Counting" Rolling Stones Live logo above the Twitter hashtag #StartMeUpWednesday. Jagger's voice wraps things up with the tease, "See you at rehearsal."

...

A statement released shortly after the video debut confirms that the tour will begin in Los Angeles , and will also includes dates in Las Vegas, and in Oakland, San Jose and Anaheim, California. Though there's no date yet for the L.A. show, the rest of the tour runs through May and early June. In addition, original guitarist Mick Taylor will make appearances during the tour, as he did during the Stones' recent limited road trip.

...

Tickets for Oakland, San Jose, Toronto and Chicago go on sale beginning Monday, April 8 at 10:00 a.m. local time at RollingStones.com. Citi cardmembers will be able to snag presale tickets beginning Friday.

The Rolling Stones also confirmed last week that they're playing a headlining set this June at the U.K.'s Glastonbury Festival.

...
