Rattle And Hum...

So it has taken me years and i mean YEARS but i think i finally ''get'' Rattle And Hum.

That sounds silly cause i have been a U2 fan for awhile but for years i wondered if this was simply a ploy for more album sales after the huge success of Joshua Tree? If it was just some random shit doen live they threw together in like a month if that... and so on.

I hated the cover of helter skelter and just the entire sound of the album sounded like it wasn't recorded proberly... or got the bands energy at all.

But i finally can say i somewhat dig Rattle And Hum and i really like silver and gold! that could have been a decent single..

Then again it has only been recent that i have started liking the single ''Desire'' for some reason despite it being one of their biggest hits i never loved it much till recent.

What do other fans think of the album?

Love it!, bit of light hearted relief after the intensity of "Joshua Tree", it's just a fun celebratory album not meant to be taken too seriously i think. And it contains 4 all time classic hits, so yeah, not bad...

We're here, might as well get into it.

I don't think the album is necessary

the best four songs (singles) are already included in the Best of 1980-1990 album

the dvd is worth watching...once...

I'm not promoting piracy, but if one U2 album needs trimming, that's R&H for sure...

ITA! My least listened to U2 album. That said, I do love "God Pt II" and "Love Rescue Me." I wish the album were recorded louder. I have to put it on the highest volume setting just to get it above a whisper.

For years ithought it was looked upon as a ive album but then found out they see it is atheir 6th studio album confused

That is what got me confused cause half of it is live material and some of the live material upon first listen just didn't seem to have the right sound or something... the energy wasn't all there.

But i do rather enjoy it nowaays but can admit it's not a needed addition to the collection minus the singles.

But damn Desire, Angel Of Harlem & Sliver and Gold are great songs cool
