Redman ABSOLUTELY had the best verse on "Headbanger". Part of Erick Sermon's great legacy is his talents as a producer. Erick brought the FUNK to hip hop production better than Dr. Dre. His production on Redman's albums is a true synthesis of hip hop beats and funk grooves. Das EFX had the best gimmick in the world. Make up words and add "iggedy" at the end. Those dudes wouldn't be shit without EPMD. Redman, Keith Murray and K-Solo were ill rappers period.

Sermon had more original beats than Dre. Dre was too much sampling.

I always thought Sermon was one of the top three greatest producers in hip-hop history.

The joint he did with Aaron Hall, "Welcome from Erick Sermon's first solo album, is DOPE ASS East Coast Hip Hop and funk music. Erick Sermon as a rapper is unique as well. His last solo album from 2002 is a pretty good listen as well.

Redman was cracking me up! Old Boy had those glasses on and was funny as hell, but you still knew if you turned your back, he'd be sneaking off with granny's social security check!

I would love to know! That's some crazy, scandalous shit. I never heard about that before. Erick doesn't strike me as someone that would do that. EPMD are so dope. I wish they would continue to put out music. I really don't listen to hip hop these days but I could definitely get down with their stuff. Their first Album Strictly Business is classic!! There are some great beats on that album and the rhyming is so smooth.

What did they say about Wendy Williams?? I missed that part when I took a bathroom break lol....

No offense, but Eric doesn't seem too..bright. Now if it was reversed, I could see Parrish doing that, cause he has some smarts on him.

Wendy Williams accused Eric of being gay

And they didn't talk about Eric's suicide attempt, either. There was a fall out of a window and I think something else weird happened with him re a car.

Damn what a shame. He's pretty talented but I guess a lot of talented artists have demons....

Had to DVR it last night...saw the first 20 minutes of it this morning and it's a pretty good episode. I had forgotten about their songs...I remember the "You Gots to Chill" video when it came out and loved it. I was about 5 or 6 years old and I remember the first time I saw it on TV with my cousin! Most definitely forgot how great a producer Erick Sermon was/is. Great to see Redman and Keith Murray interviewed. I'll watch the rest when I get off from work this evening and give more feedback.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Ahhhh, EPMD! The first time I heard their stuff it was, "What is THAT"? Lawd their beats went hard. Them thangz thumped! I loved their rhymes, even loved E's mush mouthed flow smile Classic jams!

I liked their artists, K Solo, when he would spell his name,

Keith Murray w/ his Most Beautifullest Thing in This World (had the cassette),

Das EFX's hard beats, unique flow

Redman's crazy ass smile They had a nice squad!

Wendy Williams is loud and wrong on most things. She gets her so called news straight from tabloids and blogs and reads it like she has some inside scoop. confused

I thought his lisp was actually dope. It never bothered me. It was unique. He doesn't seem to have as strong of a lisp now. I wonder if he had it corrected some how?

Yeah, they were both dope. Gonna bump them today.

Hmmm, I really don't know what was/is going on with his speech pattern. hmmm I did notice him stuttering just a bit when that robbery question came up. That could've been nerves, being that it was such a sensitive subject. shrug
