The live version slays the studio version. That is all.

I believe what she has posted is a remix version and not the actual album version. Not my type of music at all but it sounds like she's going to have a monster club hit on her hands. I think it's going to serve it's purpose. It will be played right along side Beyonce, Rhianna and Lady Ga Ga songs.
At this point, I'm just really desperate for a new album from her. If she decided to release an album where she was yodeling her classic hits, I'd be happy. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

I don't know who this Robert Clasper is but someone on Chaka's board who stays in contact with Chaka and her folks is saying Robert is NOT producing "I-Khan". Maybe Robert is referring to the Gospel or Jazz projects Chaka has claimed to be working on. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

Okay I just realized I-Khan is supposed to sound like Icon.

I'm happy Robert has been nominated for Grammys this year, but I wasn't too impressed with Black Radio. I like some songs on it, but overall I was underwhelmed. I might listen to it again one day.

I'm curious to see what Wendy & Lisa did on the album. Prince may be the purple Yoda, but Wendy & Lisa and Eric Leeds also sit on the Jedi Council.

This year, 2013, marks the 40th anniversary of Chaka’s career in music and entertainment. The year-long celebration will include the release of a series of new albums, titled the iKhan Project. The first installment will be released on March 19, 2013, and will coincide with her 60th birthday celebration. The iKhan Project: Commemorative Limited Edition will feature her new single, “It’s Not Over” and some favorite classics. The anniversary celebration will include a US and international tour and several other surprises.
I guess the jazz album will be released later this year.

I feel ya. But all things considered, the feature could've been a lot worse. I can appreciate that Chaka and her team are targeting a specific demographic with this release. I do wish a rapless version was made available for purchase. Hell, put the live version up on iTunes, I'd buy it. To my ears, the live vocal is more powerful and impactful.

I know several of you Orgers are members of Chaka's message board. Could someone please contact CK's board administrator/webmaster and inform he/she that the confirmation email that is supposed to be sent out to newly registered members to activate their accounts are not being sent out? Locking out new fans (and old ones like myself who haven't posted in a while) is not a good PR move. Especially at a time when new music is being released. [Edited 3/6/13 14:39pm]
