Yoko Ono "sings" Firework by Katy Perry Makes you appreciate Katy's live vocals, doesn't it?

Oh really? She's still terrible!

One reason I'll never take Yoko seriously...

It's the only reason I don't like Yoko. I can't stand her voice but I like her music and not just because John helped with some of it

I could only stomach Walking on Thin Ice as far as that goes.

I really like that song musically actually. Vocally it's not absolutely terrible either.

and that's only because, the music was off the chain!! "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

"Yoko" and "sing" shouldn't be in the same sentence... "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Imagine what else John could have done had he not died that day

I swear, if there wasn't a video and I was listening to the audio only, I would have thought it was Katy Perry. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

Don't remind me. The funny thing is, the album was finished. He wanted to go back and finish, "Walking On Thin Ice", for Yoko. If he had just stayed home, he would have been alive today. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

It would have happened sooner or later

Mr. "I don't need bodyguards" should've thought about his safety instead of letting any crazy loon come up to him. [in John's accent]"This ain't the Beatles via 1964 you know?"[/in John's accent]

These parodies are everywhere
They where funny at first... now it's becoming like the ''shit so & so says'' videos. Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

She has some incredible work. When she does the avant garde "vocalizations" in like in this video, it's hard to listen to. But her more "traditional" work is often quite brilliant. She's had some amazingly powerful material, and I respect her as an artist a great deal. She's also had a string of #1 singles on the Dance charts over the last decade. She's fearless, always have been. I'd listen to her any day of the week over Katy Perry or most anybody else on the pop charts. Folks hear clips like this and think they understand what Yoko is all about, and she's easy to hate because folks think she broke up the Beatles.
Fuck 'em. She doesn't care, and neither do her fans and admirers. The hatred and disdain only makes our appreciation stronger. * * *

No Yoko, no Rock Lobster "Climb in my fur."

My thoughts exactly.
I love Double Fantasy. It's one of my fav albums, but I just can't take this woman's voice. It's awful and ruins most songs.

You are just like a thin piece of wood that has 12 inch-long increments measured out in a continuous flow. Priceless and true in each moment used.
