That's a no brainet the Marvin Gaye and Tami Terrell will always be my preference. No shade to Ashford and Simpson but they were the best recording duo. Besides I love this version. Diana Ross production was too over the top and the intro was too long.

I'm picking Tammie terrell..cuz to me they had a chemistry & a connection that looked so genuine, plus their voices blended so well. They looked so beautiful together.Diana's version is way over done.i know this is off the subject but,I love their performance of"If this world were mine".

There's something majestic about the original (MG&TT).

Diana's remind me of Isaac Hayes' By the Time I Get to Phoenix just by the spoken word and length.

As you guys know, Micheal McDonald recorded this for his "Motown" album. Here he is performing it live with some special guests

Marvin & Tammi, it's just beautiful and I love the way they sing together! I love Diana Ross, but I've always prefered Marvins & TT's version.

Diana Ross. Easily the most majestic song she has ever recorded and one that is in my all-time top 3 songs ever.

Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell not only did they look like they were in love but they sung like they were in love.

^ That's a tougher one but I'm gonna have to go with the original. MG's voice was, of course, princely and Tammi's was too sassy. Luther/Cheryl was like "let's take it to church in the bed!" lol
