NICKI MINAJ AND MARIAH CAREY
Already At Each Other's
THROATS

EXCLUSIVE
0917_nicki_mariah_01

Mariah Carey wasted no time proving what we told you 2 weeks ago -- there's only room for one diva on "American Idol."

Carey and Nicki Minaj went at it during the first "A.I." taping Sunday in NYC. When Nicki started critiquing a contestant, Mariah would interrupt -- not once, but many times. Each time Mariah interrupted, Nicki fought back by loudly talking over Mariah.

One "A.I." spy said Mariah and Nicki tried to cover their disdain for each other but everyone saw through it, adding, "These girls just don't like each other."

You may recall, we reported when producers called Mariah to tell her that Nicki would probably be joining her as a judge, she hung up the phone.

One of the tell-tale signs that a show is desperate for headlines and ratings is when the producers invent an internal rivalry among the members.

The inclusion of Nicki Minaj on the judges' panel is enough to keep me away.

Exactly lol once Mariah found out that Nicki was being considered, she went on Twitter and started her own "campaign" to get Lenny Kravitz on board.Mariah wanted to be the only woman judge on that show because she feels threatened by a woman like Nicki.Lenny is a washed-up *male* artist who poses no threat to Mariah, and she knows this.Nicki,on the other hand,is a "hot",sexy,attention-stealing artist who is also younger than Mariah.

Utt ohh Soul...no no no! lol

What do you mean that Lenny is "washed up"? He just finished a successful tour earlier this year, no? I don't think he's no more washed up than Mariah is (with her worthless singles featuring sub par rap artists that present such a presence on her songs that it's like she's actually a guest artist on her own song whistling). lol

OK,maybe I went too far boxed lol Lenny isn't "washed up".But you can see why Mariah would have preferred him as a judge, instead of Nicki. He's not a threat to her.He won't take away any attention from her.Nicki is "red hot" right now and Mariah seems like the type who always wants to be the center of attention....the GRAND diva.

Or, maybe Mariah wants this season to be a success. If this season doesn't workk who's going to get most of the blame? The chick holding the 18 milli paycheck. And, she' ll have to hear about how much more likable and charming Jlo was. There's a lot riding on this. And, the online reaction to Nicki's inclusion has been pretty negative across the board from pop to urban sites. This is a show who's biggest base is older and white. And, they are pissed that Nicki is on the panel. The reaction to the possibility of Lenny was a lot better. You are right about one thing though. Minaj sure does look hotter in that panel photo clown hair and all (sarcasm to the highest).

And he is talented. What's Niki Manageri's talent? They say she's a rapper but, based off what I've heard, her rapping abilities are horrendous. So I"m still trying to figure out what her appeal is. And please don't say her looks. This broad is a cross between a schizophrenic and a tranny street walker.

Tamar Braxton calls Nicki...on Live”

Singer Tamar Braxton is not a big fan of rapper Nicki Minaj‘s hair choices. Braxton was a guest on Anderson Cooper‘s revamped ‘Anderson Live‘ syndicated show (the episode airs Monday, Sept. 17).

Tamar, who has been accused of biting Beyonce’s weave style, went in on the neon wig Nicki Minaj wore for her “American Idol” announcement.

“I love Nicki and I feel like I can speak about it because I’ve had a couple of bad wig moments myself. That is an atrocity!” said Tamar.

“Put her back in the box and put her upstairs, boo!,” said Tamar.

Anderson: And Nicki Minaj what do you think about the hair?

Tamar Braxton: What do you think about the hair?

Anderson: I kind of like it.
Tamar: That? Well listen, I love Nicki, everybody loves Nicki. I love Nicki and I feel like I can speak about it because I’ve had a couple of bad wig moments myself. That is an atrocity. Okay, ain’t nobody got time for that. Neon hair?

Anderson: What makes a good wig?
Tamar: Well, number one let’s x the neon out the situation and then, I mean I am speaking out of love and admiration.

Anderson: Oh Sure, by the way when you say that, you can then say anything.
Tamar: No, put that back in the box and put her upstairs boo.

Anderson: Do you wear wigs?
Tamar: Well I wear a combination. Sometimes I wear wigs, sometimes I wear weaves.Today is a combination of an ensemble.

Anderson: Really, I thought that was your hair.
Tamar: Well, then I wont tell you what it is. It’s mine.

Anderson: Actually it’s a twitter question from Don’s mom, they want to know what line of weaves do you use. Is that too personal?
Tamar: Yes, it’s too hood rat. See that’s the problem of twitter because it’s hard to keep the integrity of my timeline. Please don’t follow me, please don’t follow me.

Anderson: What do you mean the integrity of your timeline?
Tamar: Who asks what kind of weaves you wear?

Anderson: Well Don’s mom, apparently.
Tamar: Well you’re somebody’s mama you should know better.

Nicki is really ugly with her short stumpy legs and her lumpy ass. Not to mention the neon wigs, tacky makeup and lack of talent. I've heard her autotuned singing and it's really bad. It's autotuned karaoke.

I actually find her diva-dom campy and funny at times; when they confirmed she was a judge the only thing I could think was, will they actually make her sit up straight at the judge table, or, in typical Mariah fashion, will she reclining on a seteé with her ever present champagne flute by her side ? lol Y'all know before she had Dem Babies, we really only saw Mariah in three functional modes: recording/performing, chuggalugging sipping her bubbly, or stretched out on a damn chaise lounge with one leg artfully tucked underneath. That kinda camp can only works with one chick on the panel, with two, perhaps not so much lol :

seems to me and imo she's the music entertainment mogul's "hot n'tott," she's their phreak!

sad part is she does not even have a clue.

possibly she's totally rapped up in the fiber-optic (programable) wigs that she sports with pride and little dignity, sad part is she does not even have a clue.

if anyone still wishes upon a star, hopefully they will wish that an intelligent and courageous prince will kiss her and WAKE HER BRAIN UP, and save her from herself!

i hope she doesn't fall from grace too soon. however i'm feeling when she does she will break into a million pieces via those that are putting her on a pedestal w/out a foundation of real talent.

(hopefully i'm wrong about her, but all indicators show that her castle(s) is made of sand.)

Agreed. How can you elect someone an idol ... for karaoke no less.

Where's the organic process of an artist having to truly create something that marks a moment and resonates with humanity.

Prince didn't get appointed. He earned that shit.

Exactly! nod What happened to the days when aspiring artists paid their dues....playing at small local nightclubs, recording demos, gaining a small loyal audience, and submitting demos to record companies?

Remember the TV show "Star Search"? lol Didn't quite a few of the singers, models, and even the dancers go on to have a bit of success? WHERE are all of these AI winners and contestants? Forget about the viewers, why would anyone even WANT to be on this show given the track record of all the contestants?

Nicki Minaj has no credibility to be judging anyone's musical ability. Her addition is a joke and completes the show's implosion.

Will only be watching the Voice.

X Factor and Idol have ridiculous judigng panels.

Mariah is not enough for me to watch. (sorry Mariah).

I read that Christina and Celo will take a break next season to be replaced by Usher and Shakira.

And I don't care what people say about Mariah...at least she has a VOICE. (had?? confused ) Nicki???? ill disbelief

giggle Kelly Clarkson is still making her albums and doing pretty well; and, Carrie Underwood is quite big in the Country music world. AI has produced some good artitsts in its run but once the season ends that's it for that person. Between the gimmicky aspect of the show, the lack of committment given to the winners by the labels that sign them, and the current state of music followers in this day in age, it's not hard to understand why none of these new age talent shows aren't making many long lasting artists. I stopped watching AI years ago and refuse to watch anything else that Simon Cowell puts his name on. I do, however, watch 'The Voice' religiously because it's the only one in the talent show genre that is actually worth a damn and makes sense from the get go. The idea that the judges on 'The Voice' start the show by doing blind auditions is the best idea I've seen in the lot of these shows. Why should a singer have to be visually stunning to be talented? Most of the best singers in history were not gorgeous people. You don't see the singer when you listen to the album anyway. Take note Simon, you can throw all the big name artists you want on a judging panel and try to sell your little shows, but it won't matter until you 1) get a full panel of legit artists with real talent and 2) turn those damn chairs around so that celebrity panel can judge what really matters....and that's why 'The Voice' is kicking major ass right now compared to their 'competitors'. I'd rather have Christina judging singers than Britney. Seriously, it's a joke to me to have this chick judging singers when she has barely ever sang a live song herself in her entire career...I'm just sayin.
