Uhuh

Alicia Keys was the worst; she was singing screeching a song clearly out of her vocal ability/range

nod nod

And Taylor Swift wins the award 'cheesiest song of the year' - suprisingly beating One Direction

I might be the minority here but frank ocean was not good at all! His guitarist started off horribly and frank sounded off. I hate Simon Cowell for creating one direction, music for zombie teens sad! People looked so bored and uncomfortable. As far as the fashion goes Rihanna looked nice with her new hair cut and Chris brown looked like a fool with that blue hair! It was nice hearing drake dedicating his award to bullied kids. But this award show was one of the worse award shows I've seen in years lol...

You're not the only one! I keep hearing the hype surrounding Frank Ocean, and decided to watch his performance. He was off key the entire song.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one, he usually does sing better live ( I guess he was nervous?). But then again frank isn't a good vocalist to me.

How very white of you. You have no issue with anyone complaining about BET, yet you're not happy with anyone (especially me) criticizing MTV.

Whatever. rolleyes Double standards has won too often in the org in recent weeks.

Double standard? Blow me! How's that for a double standard?

Can you read? If you could, you'd see that I said that the VMA's have been boring for years. That's not criticizing it?

I don't have a problem with you criticizing MTV when it's a legitimate critique.

Then stfu so I can criticize MTV and all of the ViaCON-owned media networks. Period. End of story. wink

the VMA's are a useless show, there hasnt been a point to it in almost 15-20 years now. AND thats not because they dont play videos, its just that everyone on the show is looking to cause some sort of album sales controversy, be it Dick-Ye West or someone coming out of the closet or going into a closet or someone just out of jail or going to jail after the show, or just plain dumb statements like a few years back when Justin Timberlake tried to be all "SERIOUS" and say how MTV was a letdown and needed to support videos again, nice statement from a guy who is musically not relevant. So i dont watch, i check the next day to see who turned up and then i'll check which lady looked hot, and this year Demi Lovato looked the best, straight forward great body, the rest all looked like clowns, whats with that Rita Otra shes like 5 different artists copying each other put together.

I liked Alicia Keys, kindof, and actually, I'm sorry to say that I find *some* One Direction OK to listen to (and I'm nowhere NEAR being a teenage girl - wrong sex AND wrong age biggrin ). The rest of the stuff wasn't very interesting.

But I did note what Drake said about bullying (I'd like to know what the whole story was), and I liked when Green Day invited the audience along with them.

That's about it.

Oh, and Katy Perry's "Wide Awake" should have got Video of the Year, beating that awful Rihanna song. Does anyone know if it got Best VFX? I LOVED that video.

I torrented it and watched the whole thing in about an hour and fifteen. Kevin Hart was actually really funny. So was Rebel Wilson. [img:$uid]http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2012/09/07/article-2200038-14E19604000005DC-160_634x428.jpg[/img:$uid]

There are plenty music award shows that are useless. MTV VMA is ranked #1.
