Mayer Hawthorne's new video "No Strings"

hmmm the video is OK,but I wouldn't have chosen this song to be a single.I would have picked "You're Not Ready" or "Stick Around",both of these songs are excellent! But it's nice to see that he and his record company are going all the way with his album...releasing one single after another.I bet this will be the final one,and then he will start work on a new album for release next year.

I love the video. I love this single. Even though this new album has been on a rocky road since its release last fall, it is infact nice that the powers-that-be at Universal are still building the momentum for this album. Kudos to Mr. Hawthorne! music

nod I like it when artists and their record companies go all the way with an album, instead of abandoning it early because of low sales. They took their time and allowed this album to build,as Mayer went out on tour.None of the singles were major hits, but that's OK.His career is progressing at its own pace. He's one or two albums away from the big masterpiece that we know he's capable of.

I can hear organ, brass, layered vocals... but there really doesn't seem to be any strings on this track. Brilliant.
