Lots of great music from Sweden, including ABBA and The Cardigans - but I want to mention one band that I loved some 12 years ago, around the time I saw them play the Reykjavik Music Festival, I think it was in 2000 - the band Kent - their biggest hit was "If You Were Here", but I remember the Swedish version as well smile :

My favorites:

1. ABBA - I bought the albums box set early last year. Those harmonies are divine.

2. Those Dancing Days

3. Robyn - Love everything after 2005.

4. Sahara Hotnights - Their first three albums are the best.

5. El Perro Del Mar

I'll post some honorable mentions later.

This one is my favorite:

That guitar melody is constantly going through my head.

What about The Sounds - are they Swedish? confuse

I liked them for a short while:

The (International) Noise Conspiracy too:

I will have to listen to my T(I)NC albums again soon. Listening to these two tracks again reminded me of how good they were.

So much great music from Sweden! Could Sweden actually be the third biggest country (after USA and the UK) in the history of pop music?

Here's my Swedish favourite, the greatest glam rock band of the last two decades: The Ark
