I'm wondering why the hell everybody automatically assumes the worst of Michael's siblings to the point of being ludicrous. Like...thinking that they actually kidnapped their own mom to get to some money?

I will say though that I'm not all that surprised that the MJ fan community automatically assumed that because to be blunt, most of them are bigots anyway. I can still remember back in 2001 when a random European fan called me a n*gger...or how many fans I've heard say how glad they are that Michael looks nothing like he did as a teen, and how they prefer him from "Bad" onwards, physically.

It was pretty easy to tell where the lines in the sand were on that a longgg time ago.

Really at this point I think if anybody in the family is the sleazeball, it's TJ. Why would he step in and try to take the kids from his grandmother and he's even Tweeting about this personal crap. I think he's kinda stirring this shit up and causing conflict because he wants access to MJ's money.

Wow this discussion is like two threads deep and I'm actually surprised, after every sensational angle has been thrown into the mix, that the race angle hasn't been brought up. But here we are and while we're here:

I can relate to bigoted fans. When me and members of my family went to an Ani DiFranco concert this guy made a crack about having to sit next to us. At an ANI DIFRANCO concert. His girlfriend was embarrassed. But somehow I felt the MJ fans would be diplomatic (however erratic they can be). There's a bigot around every corner I suppose.

But do you think that if there is bias towards them because they're black, do you also feel that there is sympathy for the children because they're white, and the perception is that the innocent white children are being attacked by the mean, evil blacks?

You're mentioning Michael's complexion is interesting. It would explain how he kept so many fervent fans in his later years despite what looked like cosmetic leaps and bounds.

Janet I feel is being unfairly maligned. As previously noted Michael had issues and I figured drugs were a major part of them. I mean didn't he have a pharmacy's worth of drugs in his medicine cabinet? There were reports of prescription drugs taken for everything from burns to broken legs and what not. If Janet was wishy washy during an interview about some intervention could you blame her?

She was caught between being forthcoming AND not wanting to damage his legacy.

He wanted either Katherine or Diana Ross of all people to be the guardians of his children that says alot about the fuck ups he once considered a family.

We've been exposed to their bullshit since what? 2009? He had endured them all his life, paying for their day to day basis including the very homes they are living in, and its still not enough to these people. I'm not surprised he left them out of his well.

If you would have told me around the time of MJ's funeral that his family would be involved in some mess regarding his kids and money, I would have agreed 100% with you. And then if you had told me that Janet was knee deep in this sort of mess while La Toya stayed out of it, I would have told you to lay off the crack pipe. Conrad Murray invites Katherine Jackson to visit him in jail

Los Angeles (CNN) -- Conrad Murray, the doctor convicted in Michael Jackson's death, is inviting the late pop star's mother to visit him in jail to "answer any questions she might have."

Murray extended the invitation Tuesday night in a statement released to CNN through his lawyers, Valerie Wass and Michael Flanagan.

"I've been told that she has a desire to speak with me before she departs this life," Murray said. "Seeing that she is up in age and in questionable health, and the fact that she is the mother of a very dear departed friend, it would give me great pleasure to sit with her one on one and answer any questions she might have."

Murray was sentenced to four years in prison last November after a jury convicted him of involuntary manslaughter in Jackson's June 25, 2009, death.

Murray, who is expected to serve at least two years in a Los Angeles County jail, said he would put Katherine Jackson's name on his visitor's list.

"It would put her at peace," he said. "I would do that truly out of concern for her and altruistic love and concern for others. I want to see her. I do not want Mrs. Jackson to suffer. She remains as dear to me as my own mother, unbeknownst to her."

News coverage of the ongoing feud among members of the Jackson family apparently prompted Murray's offer.
