Aretha was on The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno Monday, tonight she at The Nokia in concert

Aretha Franklin was on The Tonight Show starring Jay Leno on Monday night for the first time in 30 years. Due to her not flying since 1983, Franklin has only been to the West Coast 4 times since 1983. Her first re-appearance there was after 21 years. Tonight she is in concert at the Nokia Theatre.

She is slated to be in the studio late August with Babyface Ne-Yo and Herbie Hancock for work on her next album on RCA Records/Sony Music Entertainment under the helming of Clive Davis.

She did her first single that went gold in 1967, "I Never Loved A Man"

I didn't know Debbie Gibson had a place named after her.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

What does that post above mean? Is it a typo or someone with the same name?
