Quincy Jones featuring the underrated Patti Austin - 'Betcha Wouldn't Hurt Me'

This lady can go. So many peops sleep on her music. It's damn near criminal.

Harlepolis

Agreed!

Her CTI albums are some of my precious belongings. And she's featured in virtually all of Quincy's 70s albums.

Thank godness for George Benson's "Give Me The Night", the background singing my introduction to her.

That's what i'm talking bout Harle!

I think this is the song that introduced to her when I was a kid. Produced by Jimmy and Terry

This was the Stevie Wonder song, if I remember correctly...

The Dude is one of my favorite albums of all time. This was the era Quincy was in the zone.

One of my top 3 favorite songs, that were written by Stevie Wonder...

"Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

As much as I adore this one, I think I might just love the Rod Temperton-penned "Razzamatazz" even more. smile

I've got her 1981 Quincy-produced Every Home Should Have One album as well, which has some fine cuts... "Do You Love Me", "The Genie", "Baby Come To Me" etc.

The Dude is such an incredible album. So warm, soulful and unpretentious.I think it is Quincy's last great album.I didn't like the stuff that came later, with all the rappers and guest stars.
