You ain't got one of his White Stripes albums? From what I heard there's a LOT of stellar material in those albums...

Jack is a busy fellow, this is a great album in his catalogue. It should be in the top twenty of my 2012 best if I buy enough albums to make a proper list. As far as getting into The White Stripes, I only have White Blood Cells, Elephant and Get Behind Me Satan, good albums overall but they are interchangeable in terms of sound. I also like the first Raconteurs album but don't know much about his other side band The Dead Weather.

From the records I've heard, they got a funky sound to them. nod Jack keeps it ultra old school also. lol

I like both of the Raconteurs albums a lot, maybe more than The White Stripes. I think the second one is particularly great.

My favorite JW albums are:

White Blood Cells

De Stijl

Consolers of the Lonely

Blunderbuss

I posted a thread on the Sixteen Saltines video and included Love Interruption on it too. This was like a month ago or at least a couple weeks (I forget).

Loving this album. Love Interruption is my favourite so far but I'm also loving the title track.

Got tickets to see him live next month and I can't wait.

Strangely, as much as I liked past Jack White-related projects, I was not looking forward so much to this album. However, after listening to it for the first time this weekend, I like it a lot. I'd be surprised if it didn't finish in my top five releases at the end of the year.

I was having a bit of a lull in my Jack White excitement, too. I maybe still am.

But I really like a few of these songs. A few, such as Freedom at 21, are not there for me yet.

there was at least 1 thread about it when it was first released. it got a little bit of attention.

but like so many other threads that are not about one of the five or so recurring groups or

artists in this forum, it was ignored and sank to page 3 within a day or so.

this forum is no longer a place where you can discuss great music or discover great new/

undiscovered bands or musicians anymore. it used to be. i did a lot of great finds in this

forum and got to know some music that i absolutely cherish.

these days, if it ain't about janet, mj, madonna, chakah, mint condition or beyonce, it's not

gonna last on page 1 for more than half a day.

and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I have to say, I don't love the first half of this cd. It is not bad, just not wowing me.

I like the second half a lot better.

I'm in the same boat as you. I love practically everything he does, but this album is still sitting on my shelf begging to be played.. I quickly listened to a little bit of it, but not a real full listen yet.

Don't know why. I liked what I had heard so far.

If you will, so will I
