Oh this song is nothing but the truth!!! nod love One of my favorites. I can't even say it's my favorite song off the album because I can't decide!!! This one is my favorite, "Lady" is my favorite, "Smooth" is my favorite, "Cruisin'" is my favorite...that whole damn album is just a masterpiece!!! headbang

Voodoo is so transcendental that Brown Sugar almost seems like

a joke today. This is a cool song but if it ain't on his second lp,

I really don't wanna hear it.

I know I might be the minority here, but I actually prefer Brown Sugar to Voodoo. Brown Sugar is more soulful and Voodoo is more funk and I love both albums, but Brown sugar has a special place in my heart and I can play it over and over again and never get tired while Voodoo isnt the same way for me. But then again it's so hard, I think both albums are transcendental.

Agreed. I love love love Voodoo, but Brown Sugar is still my favorite. They're the best R&B albums of the '90s and '00s for my money, but I gotta go with the debut in a head-to-head battle.
