I think this is Sam's 2nd appearance on Ed Sullivan (1957). The first time he was cut off because the show had run over and it was live television at the time.

They're also Leon Russell's backup band in this video from around 1973 or 74.

This is an earlier version of The Oak Ridge Boys called The Oak Ridge Quartet. This clip is from 1965. The lead singer is William Lee Golden, who is the only member of the Quartet to be in the later most famous lineup which is complete in 1973. William also later grows a long beard and hair.
