Gap Band ~ Silly Grin

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Is this album any good? I've considered getting it, but haven't wanted to fork over the $ for it.

I like it and the Magicians Holiday LP before it. Here's four more songs. There's 9 in all, but the others are not on Youtube.

Gap was briefly signed to A&M Records in the mid 1970's. They recorded a few songs, but only one single was released in 1976. Both sides of the single has the same song, one in stereo and one in mono. I wonder why there is a mono mix, since for the most part stereo had taken over by then.
