I actually prefer this version over Nippy's. Not that her's was bad but I just never liked the "Shoop, Shoop" part. Always thought that was kind of silly.

NO. Interesting arrangements, to be sure, but it is too soon for anyone to cover Whit's stuff

That's exactly what I did when I heard the lyric changes. Robin, nobody has the clout to make lyric changes on a Whitney classic. It's nice that he thought so much of her but leave her shit alone.

I love Whitney but she isn't so amazing that nobody should cover her shit. It's not like she's Teena Marie or Chaka Khan. I love this cover!

Not only would she be moved, I'd like to think Whitney would be honored by the tribute from Robin. It's a great cover.

yeah i agree and how can we talk about covers when that was a big thing for whitney's career...doing others songs

It might be to soon for some foolish covers, I agree. What's really too soon too much too far gone for me are all these people singing Whitney songs on live tributes and singing competitions; please make jordin sparks them stop. After Jennifer Hudson put a Love spell on IWALY live right after Whitney passed why would anyone play with that?

Respectful- exceptionally well done and wonderfully arranged - full of love - deep as whitney ever got on a cover - covers like this one should be embraced and held on to like an anchor in a current. Whitney might have paused when she first heard this one, cause she seemed to be a little territorial lol , but I think she would have "honored by this tribute form Robin." I like this because it really seemed absent of the "look at me" quality that so many people have when it comes to talking about/singing Whitney.
