Good for you. I went to see them in my hometown back in February with Keith Sweat,

Ledisi, and Johnny Gill. Mint had to cancel because Stokley fell ill. Needless to say

i left and asked for a refund since the hour and a half had past before the promoter

announced what was going on and brought Jeff and O'Dell out to apologize to the

fans. Hopefully i'll get to see them perform later this year. I doubt that we'll see another

album from Mint before 2013. It's barely been a year since the release of 7.

Dang that really sucked, but at least Jeff and O'Dell came out to apologize. Seems they have a lot of dates booked throughout the summer so maybe they will swing back around to where you are again. Besides, I only like seeing them when they are headliner and not on the same bill with others. You get to see them play more of their songs that way.

As for the album, well, they seemed pretty adamant about releasing something in September because they said it more than once, so we shall see.

They also revealed that they will be releasing a new album in September. I believe they played one of the songs and it sounded pretty funky to me.

I'm jealous...I haven't seen them since -07. Nobody good comes to Florida anymore, I lubs me some Stokely.

Check out their website www.mintconditionmusic.com to see if they will be coming to your area anytime soon. If not, you may have to consider doing a bit of travelling, but it depends on how badly you want to see them. They most certainly are worth it.

I hope your last statement is true. I remember when they were working on ELife they

pushed the release date back twice.

pushed the release date back twice.

Well in that case, for me, it wasn't a big deal because to me that was their weakest album out of all of their albums. It had a few gems on there, but thats the only MC album that I couldn't get into.

I saw them in concert at BB King's here in NYC back in December and they put on a great show. Love them. I have a crush on Jeff. He is so cute. Hope to see them live again soon.

Their lyrics are classy, they play their own instruments, produce themselves, etc. This sounds redundant for their fans but think about how they stand out amongst today's artists. They are damn near the last band standing amongst popular soul & R&B and to me that is pretty sad.
