Andy's Late 80s Mix
Fresh out of high school, grown, unemployed, and living in a closet. It was the age of the second term of Ronnie and later Daddy Bush and a lot of the music had become just as dull and conservative as the folks running the country. Adult contemporary was quickly taking over the R&B airwaves and soccer moms and yuppies were living it up.
Yes, a lot of it was a very depressing era but there was still a lot of hard ass jams and here they are mixed up as only Andy can do it. So pour yourself a drink and get yourself ready because it's late and the soccer moms have gone to bed with a face mask on their face while they sleep and their husbands are out picking up whores. Drink up dammitt while the one and only Andy throws down the jams for the few freaks left of the late 80s era!

thanks for the offer, but no thanks, the jams you posted are decent, but they can't hold a handle to the 76-84 era...
for me, the late 80s sound is beyond redemption, it shows how dull and predictable things had become; the sound of 86-87 was still good, but 88-89 (and maybe 90) were overall a nightmare: repetitive basslines, dull drum sound, the jams just don't breathe; even Prince's Batman album sounds dull; I was only 4-5 years old then, but now I can look back and hear how dull things were...
no; just a bad time for dance-pop and dance/club, and mainstream music in general; when it comes to the late 80s, the good stuff was basically rap, thrash and "traditional" pop (sort of: Faith, Like a Prayer, etc)
things improved A LOT in 91-93 with the madchester/rave/chicago thing...the superior underground sound finally breaking out...

No, that wasn't me but those two songs would definitely go good together like chocolate and peanut butter in a Reese's cup. Andy is a four letter word.
