I love Dana Owens, she just need more material that fits her and can let her belt out

She does her songs on a more jazzy tip

Check her out on Phoebe Snows Poetry Man A+ work

Ottensen

i enjoy it. She doesn't have tremendous range, but I can throw a song of hers into an adult contemporary mix, sit around having drinks with people who are 40+ and she doesn#t sound or feel out of place. I guess she works for me like a kind of easy listening lol

Sadly, I agree. Records companies don't want to invest in female rappers (as a whole).

I heard Eve talk about this in an interview a few years back. She said that the women require a stylist, make up artist, hair dresser as well as an assistant. Therefore, record companies don't want to spend that kind of money on a female mc that is not bringing in the big bucks.

Pretty good, considering. She's good at doing the classics. I love her rendition of "Goin' Out Of My Head" from the "Living Out Loud" soundtrack.

That's not true.
